• Conduct Monthly Rig Health and Hygiene Audit, Fire and emergency equipment inventory update, Lifeboat, FRC, and Life raft inspection.
• Coordinate with ConocoPhillips HSE Management in implementation of new or revised SH&E policies.
• Perform duties expected of HSE Advisor as per rig Emergency Response Plan and Station Bill, under the direction of the OIM
• Maintain in a proper manner all safety related records. Maintain accident reporting system by ensuring that all necessary reports, personal investigations of serious or fatal accidents, securing supervisor accident report, and checking corrective actions taken by supervisors to eliminate accident causes.
• Assist Operations Manager and QHSE Manager in implementation of new or revised SH&E policies. Any non-compliance of policies should be reported to the Operations Manager who will ensure that corrective actions are taken
• Conduct Rig Safety Inspections for procedural compliance, rig’s safety, lifesaving and firefighting / suppression facilities and systems.
• Assist corporate department in annual and specific safety audits for the purpose of identifying and correcting unsafe conditions and/or unsafe work practices.
• Coordinate and monitor investigation of accidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions. Prepare reports and advice the rig management of necessary actions to prevent recurrence.
• Periodically inspect emergency supplies on the rig to ensure that nothing has been removed without authorization, and that they are ready for immediate use or their intended purpose.
• Disseminate information on all SH&E activities to alert employees of specific hazards, or to maintain general interest in accident prevention.
• Coordinate and assist rig based management with approved Safety Programs and drills to ensure personnel safety and that personnel respond as directed in the Station Bill.
• Stay abreast with latest Safety Health & Training developments and activities; such as new safety equipment, hazardous materials that might be used on the rigs, changes in laws, regulations, codes, and rules, new methods of accident prevention, or accidents that have occurred at similar facilities or in related industries.
