Responsibilities are,
• Team Leading for Operation & Maintenance of WLL BSS Network & provide Technical support & assist overall BSS related activities.
• Routine/Preventive Operation & Maintenance, Software & Hardware Troubleshooting, Alarms handling, Root Cause Analysis, Hardware and software anomalies rectification & Technical Support to on site Engineers to carry out corrective maintenance activities.
• Support to do the best maintenance strategy of the BSS O&M.
• Technical support for implementation all PARs from Cell planning & Optimization in order to tune network, Vendors & Other interconnected Departments & to secure that the solution is properly implemented and works in accordance with the requirements.
• Technical support for activities like Solving BTS problems, Load or reload the BTSs software, Solve size alteration problems in BSCs level, Changes/Configuration at BSC Level, required for Expansion/addition of new BTSs to Network & Re-homing project to re-dimensioning of the network.
• Installation & Commissioning/Survey/PAT & PAC of Newly Deployed BSS NEs.
• System Management & Administration such as Interface Configuration Changes and Daily Health Checks, modifying system configuration and application configuration and Alarm/Logs Management.
• Database Administration - monitoring database health, troubleshooting and recovering from minor database problems, Performance monitoring of hardware and software, including making recommendations for upgrades.
• Software Version and patch/Hardware upgrades & Cutovers activities.
• Closely monitor the performance of all KPIs and provides detailed performance analysis, giving emphasis on any deviation in the statistical trend of completion performance comparing the previous day and previous week performance & to investigate for any substantial deviations in the performance to determine the major cause that may attribute to this deviation and escalate to Concerned Department or Vendor.
• Forecasting RF/Other Resources capacity requirements and providing prediction to determine cell site location Site positioning and coverage analysis & to analyze statistical data in order to determine traffic load and areas of congestion in the system.
• Traffic analysis, dimensioning & capacity management, traffic/capacity analysis and radio resource re-allocation
• System Feature & Parameter analysis and tuning
• Cell & other parameters consistency checks
• Analyze management and plan statistical reports & Analyze in detail when deficiencies or problems are identified.
• Technical sites survey & audit.
• System Parameter Tuning, to optimize system functionally when it is concluded effective by the system Performance activity.
• Optimization in co-work with Core Network Design/Planning/RF & BSS Optimization & all other interfaces.
The Products/NEs include ZTE BSSB/ZXC10BSCB, Huawei BSC cBSC6600/6680, ZTE BTS AE/HIRS/Compact/IP & SDR BTS, Huawei BTS 3606/3606C/3612) supporting both 1X & EVDO Services (Rev A, Rev B) etc.
Core Network
•Operation & Maintenance of the PTCL CMDA WLL Core Network i.e. MSS (CSOFTX3000, UMG8900), HLR (HLR8920, ngHLR).
•Software & Hardware Trouble shooting of the WLL Core Network Elements. Identify faults and their troubleshooting
•Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of all Core switching equipments, Problems solved or escalated to the correct group/team, MSS network elements downtimes decrement & Network elements quality improvement.
•Trunk capacity optimization, optimal utilization of Signaling links and recommends solution for improvement as well as load balancing and timely expansion & Traffic routing optimization
•Counters/timer, call parameters optimization.
•Performance Analysis, to monitor the traffic/signaling load of the core network on a routine basis.
•KPI benchmarking, formulas & targets.
•Core New Features Trails
•Failure cause values audit and solutions for improvement.
•Perform complex updates/upgrades of live networks.
•Develop and design methods, tools and scripts within a defined framework and in accordance to System requirements.
•Database Maintenance including data backup & data creation for charging, routing, configuration for interconnection and zoning etc.
•Creation, configuration on the MSC, HLR all integration & data needed for SS7 parameters (ISUP, MAP, SCCP, MTP3 etc).
•Participate in on-call support rotations within the technical teams.
•Billing data transfer to Billing Center on Real time Basis through FTP Connectivity.
•Operation & Maintenance of the Signaling Monitoring Equipment (ZXT2000 & ZXMT500) to ensure Signaling Transfer/Copying through it & via STPs.
BSS Network
•Regular Operation & Maintenance of the WLL BSS Network (i.e. ZTE BSSB/ZXC10BSCB, Huawei BSC cBSC6600/6680, ZTE BTS AE/HIRS/Compact/IP & SDR BTS, Huawei BTS 3606/3606C/3612) supporting both 1X & EVDO Services (Rev A, Rev B) etc.
•Software & Hardware Troubleshooting of the WLL BSS Network Elements.
•To manage the mobilization of maintenance staff for corrective/preventive activities with efficient utilization of human and other company resources.
•Periodic checks and track of preventive maintenance work to ensure the 100% Availability of the WLL BSS Network.
•Traffic Analysis through daily, weekly and monthly reports to minimize the congestion on network and also to ensure the better utilization of BSS Resources.
•Attend quality installation checks and acceptance testing. Take innovative measures to diagnose and highlight quality issues in the network.
•Deployment, Swap, Optimization, Integration, Commissioning & Software/Hardware Up gradation of WLL BSS Network in coordination with the equipment suppliers.
•Providing Support to Field Staff to carryout Corrective & Preventive Maintenance on site from OMCR.
•Optimization Team Assessment to carryout Optimization of the BSS Network.
•Analysis of various KPIs including The CDR (Call Drop Ratio), CSSR (Call Setup Success Ratio) and hand off Success and failure ratio, TCH congestion ratio, traffic in Erlangs for voice and Data. Total call attempts and failures are analyzed and solutions are adopted to resolve the problems of sites or the expansion required for the sites.
•Installation & Survey for new BSS Network NEs i.e. perform installation, integration and acceptance of new equipment and facilities to the network.
•Monitoring of Microwave/DRS Links of BSS Network through NMS.
•Commissioning/PAT & testing of the Microwave/DRS Links.
During this Period I have Installed, commissioned & Patted 2 MSSS (CSOFTX3000, UMG8900), 2 HLRs (HLR8920 & ngHLR), 6 BSCs (ZTE BSSB, Huawei BSC cBSC6600/6680), 350+ BTSs (ZTE BTS ZXC10 BTSB/O1 BTS/IP BTS & SDR BTS, Huawei BTSs BTS3606/3606A/3612 & DBS3900) & about 200 Microwave/DRS Links in addition to supervision of all of their software/hardware up gradation activities.
B.Sc Electrical Engineering (2000 – 2005) with Score of 76% equivalent to 3.1 GPA.
