Country Manager•Manager
Nawar served as my Office Manager and Deputy Operations manager for a two year period in Baghdad; his period with my company (from October 2007 to September 2009) covered two of the most difficult years experienced in Baghdad, with hundreds of people killed every month; simply turning up for work each day exposed our employees to a huge amount of danger and threat to their lives. During this time Nawar was responsible for the daily oversight of a busy management office controlling a number of construction, Security Services and K9 Explosive Detection contracts, both inside the International Zone, in Baghdad Karadah, Al-Thawra and other cities in Iraq; including Umm Qasr, Hillah and Habaniyah. Nawar's work was consistent and always of the highest calibre; he extended his responsibilities voluntarily, by taking the lead on the companies Internet Services, computing and copying needs, he managed all aspects of our IT requirements and managed them very well indeed. Nawar's dedication to duty and attention to detail; combined with a very friendly and "Can Do" attitude to all aspects of his work at Babylon Gates; contributed greatly to the success of the company I was very sorry to lose this man and have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Nawar to any prospective employer. I cannot praise his work ethic highly enough: he would always be welcome back in Babylon Gates.
