• Prepare Microbiological growth media and other laboratory solutions to support microbiology laboratory testing.
• Make detailed observations, documents results and performs data analysis
• Monitoring and identifying microorganisms.
• Tracking of microorganisms in a range of environments.
• Growing microbial cultures, e.g. for use in the food and drink industry or in agriculture;
• To carry out the company stability testing programs for both new and established products
• To ensure the appropriate storage of all stability samples.
• To perform quantitative and qualitative analyses, examinations or investigations as required on behalf of the Company.
• To conduct microbiological analysis of raw materials and finished products using techniques such as Spread plate method, Coagulase test and MPN test.
• To identify growths on agar plates and other micro media.
• To conduct growth promotion testing of micro media.
• To maintain records and supply related reports as necessary.
• To ensure that all laboratory tasks performed are in keeping with Good Laboratory Practice.
• To ensure that the laboratory is maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• To carry out any other reasonable management requested task
• Identify and classify microorganisms found in specimens collected from humans, water, food, and other sources.
• Monitor the effect of microorganisms on plants, animals, and other microorganisms and on the environment.
• Observe how the processing and packaging of food products affects food preservation over time.
