The Athletics Director oversees daily staffing and operations of the sports center and athletics programs. Coordinates and manages the sport-related functions for the American University & College of the Middle East, and promotes an environment of a well-balanced, active and a healthy life style of the students, faculty and staff within the campus.

Assists the Athletics Director by manages the entire sports department. Provides administrative direction and overseeing all intercollegiate, intramural, recreational athletics staff, programs, facilities, and activities. He is involved in oversight of many different aspects of the department, including items such as scheduling, facilities maintenance, and making sure that the coaches, trainers and players are following conference or league rules both on and off the field.
•Performing a wide range of duties in support of the University sports activities and events, evaluating visitor’s patterns, creating retention programs to retain interest of members and improve member relations.
•Managing the fitness team including recruitments, ongoing training to determine if they are producing desired results.
•Provides guidance and motivation to fitness staff in order to achieve peak productivity and performance.
•Trains and develops a strong team of personal trainers and fitness instructors.
•Handles member service matters such as providing tours of the sports center, explaining services offered by the fitness department.
•Carries out daily tasks and functions assigned by the sports center director.
•Conducts weekly and monthly meetings to review performance and operation.
•Performs quality control checks on all aspects of service delivery within the facility.
•Assists in hiring, promoting and discipline of the fitness department staff.
•Ensures excellent customer service by providing information, resolving problems, and answering questions for Students, Faculty and Staff.
•Ensure the committee is aware of all sports activities and encourage strong links and communication between each team through the season.

Assists the Recreation Manager with overseeing a staff of 150 and 5 Recreation Supervisors, support staff. Interacted with other departments, community groups, and university leaders. Directed and managed large scale holiday festivals, sports leagues: Volleyball/Football and all Racquets sports and tournaments year round. Oversaw and produced other large scale events held in the community.
•Conducting regular inspections and audits of all facilities and programs and recommending any necessary improvements or modifications while ensuring the safety and cleanliness of all areas are to the highest standards.
•Managed the daily operations of the 16 lane bowling alley and staff trained them on AMF operations.
•Planning annual events and programming for each venue and creating yearly goals and objectives for the departments.
•Oversee and managed all daily operations of the Harbor Sports and Island Recreation Clubs
•Coordinated with other departments, and community leaders to provide a “Get Active Community”
•Coordinated with the KAUST Schools Board to communicate issues and receive operational directions
•Implemented technology to advertise events, including Recreation Department Web site, e-mail announcements
•Organized and scheduled over 150 fitness class each week for male and female and marketed them to the community so that they were always full
•Directed the Events Team for set ups and breakdowns and maintenance for events
•Developed instructional presentations to teach technique, as well as sportsmanship to staff and the community
•Assisted in producing all Recreation policies and procedures for the department.

Taught group-based aerobics and weight-training classes to fitness center members at a 5 Star Hotel Recreation Center. Designed and delivered individualized training sessions, organizing a progressively challenging regime and advising on proper technique. Trained members on equipment use, including health and safety measures and concerns.
