• Lead Fire Protection and Process Safety Engineer for projects and handles checking and
approving of fire protection deliverables such as Hydraulic Calculation of Fire water main, P&ID for
Fire Protection Layout, Conceptual Layout for Firewater Main, Requisition, Technical Bid Analysis
and Vendor Print Review for Fire Hydrant Nozzles and Fire Water Monitor, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL
report and Verification etc.
• Prepares estimation activity for possible project such as manning schedule, deliverable list, manhour preparation, technical proposal conditions for Process Safety and Fire Protection group.
• Ability to do site survey for fire protection and process safety works and provide valuable insights
for Client to consider in the design.
• Participates in model reviews in project (3d model and Constructability reviews)
• Develops documents and deliverables for Fire Protection and Loss Prevention / Process Safety
Scope.
• Participates in safety studies and safety workshops in project (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, ENVID,
Bowtie, ALARP, Design Safety Review)
• Reviews safety studies reports and closes actions with regards to process and technical safety for
projects
• Coordinates with 3rd party consultant regarding the safety studies (QRA, PEM, Performance
standard)
• Coordinate with Engineering disciplines, Company, Subcontractor and Vendor to meet safety
design and other project requirements such as QCDD alignment and approval with respect to
RLIC specifications etc.
• Ensures that all deliverables are following Project Execution Plan, Design Standards provided by
Client and Company
• Guides young / cadet engineers to do process safety / fire protection and process engineering
works
• Attended various safety trainings and various installation and commissioning works of fire fighting
equipment and fire and gas equipment system testing (spray/sprinkler, fire pump performance
running according to NFPA 25 etc.)
• Prepared method statement for drying and inerting and leak testing for various process lines.
• Ability to do and review operational manual for active fire protection in the plant.
• Capable to do estimation and lead basic process engineering works such as Line Hydraulics,
Pump Hydraulics, Compressor Hydraulics, Heat Exchanger Design, Control Valve Sizing, PRV
sizing, BDV sizing, Flare hydraulic calculation and various process datasheets.
