: As an EPC Contractor of GASCO Ruwais, Al Hassan Engineering’s scope of work was the Installation of Surge Drum Protection and Battery Limit emergency shutdown valves near the live pipelines of Train 1 and 2. Prior to Shutdown Operation phase, some civil work were being done in order to provide ground foundation and support for the upcoming steel structures and mechanical works.

• As one of the Safety Advisor of the project, I ensured that all safety policies and site regulations imposed by the client are being adhered to and well adopted.
• Assists AHEC on the provision of protective and preventive measures to prevent losses, accidents or any untoward incidents that might affect the quality of work on the project, through planning, implementation and monitoring, and review of the HSE management system.
• Outlines and prepares pertinent data such as risk assessments, safety procedures, and job hazards analysis for internal guidelines.
• Carries out regular site safety inspection and walkthroughs in order to ensure that the safety rules and regulations were being followed by the workers at site.
• Conducts in-house training for workers including newly hired labors, staff, and supervisors about health and safety issues at site
• As the Lead Medic, it is my obligation to attend the health needs of the worker which suffering from work related injury and ill-health.
• Ensures that the first aid supplies are sufficient and complete.
• Produced HSE bulletins, notices, and manuals
• Keeps the records of accident and incident as well as the findings of investigation, and updates it regularly.
• Perform full time and continuously safety coverage/monitoring of the worksite.
• Report and assist my site Supervisor/Manager in the overall implementation of the client approved Project HSE plan.
• Coordinate for Safety, Health & Environment issues with the client counterpart in the field that affects day to day operation.
• Be familiar with the site establishment emergency procedure.
• Carry out site surveys to see that only safe work method are in operation, that Health, Safety requirements are being observed, and welfare facilities are adequate and properly maintained
• Determine the cause of any incident including near misses and recommend means of preventing their employees.

• Assist site safety manager in training employees of selected disciplines.
• Supervise/monitor daily toolbox meeting of pre-job instruction meeting of foreman/Supervisors.
