HR Operations
•Focal point between HR and Project teams for recruitment and mobilization of resources
•Manage the full HR operations including recruitment, contracts, onboarding and payroll
•Work with payroll team to administer benefits such as Annual Bonus, Performance Bonus and ESB
•Manage the health insurance and workman compensation and negotiate the premiums with the providers
Talent Management
•Develop and lead the employee retention program to manage the career progression of approximately 700 employees.
•Ensure employees stay with the company on various projects and utilize the lessons learnt during previous assignments
•Rigorously promote an innovation program which recognized many employees working on project sites who, through their technical initiatives improved the quality of work provided by the company to the end client.
Performance Management
•Develop and implement new policies and procedures for managing the performance of all permanent and few key temporary employees.
•Review the company’s policies and procedures to set KPIs and to quantify performance levels using the Balanced Scorecard Method
•Train, guide and assist the managers in setting SMART objectives, KPIs, and conducting objective performance appraisals
Training and Development
•Lead the HR development function for all departments and businesses centers (UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq) in the Middle East
•Solely responsible for the learning and development programs for entire Middle East, including five business centers and approximately 250 employees
•Liaise with all stakeholders including line managers and department heads to conduct the training needs analysis, develop the annual training plan and budget forecast
RESPONSIBILITIES AS HR GENERALIST
HR Administration
•Manage the HR administration of around 400 employees
•Responsible for entire employee lifecycle from contract management, renewals, termination, and final settlements
•Guide and counsel employees and managers on complex issues and address grievances
•Focal point for ERP management and coordinating with the supplier for any changes needed
•Draft and maintain HR handbooks, policies and procedures to for all active GCC countries
Legal and Compliance
•Work with the legal advisor to review and re-design employment contracts templates to be in-line with the regional labor laws
•Modify policies and procedures such as recruitment, safety and procurement to be in-line with the regional legal requirements
Compensation and Benefits
•Conduct periodic compensation and benefits benchmarking exercise and calibrate company’s C&B structure using HAYS method.
•Compare the company’s C&B policy with industry standards and make modifications when necessary
•Design and implement C&B grading system which can be applied to all the positions in the company in order to standardize the salaries and benefits throughout the organization.
•Roll out Employee Shareholding Plans, Annual Bonus Programs and Benefits structures
RESPONSIBILITIES AS RECRUITMENT OFFICER
Talent Acquisition
•Handle the project / manpower requirements of all clients in MENA region, mainly in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait.
•In-charge of staffing critical roles such as Project Director, Key Account Manager, and Discipline Leaders for multi-million-dollar projects such as KNPC, SAUDI ARAMCO, and QATAR PETROLEUM etc.
•Respond to call outs form international oil and gas giants such as BAKER HUGHES, SCHLUMBERGER, BRITISH PERTROLEUM, ENI, EXXON MOBIL, JGC, SHELL, YASREF, SADARA, SAUDI ARAMCO, TECHNIP etc.
•Coordinate interview process between clients and candidates.
•Member of interview panel for several critical internal and external positions
•Conduct competency-based interviews and personality tests and set up skill assessment centers
•Follow the mobilization of selected candidates with the operations department.
ACHEIVEMENTS
•Increased employee retention by 25% by implemented a clear, stepwise process and monitoring the performance against KPIs.
•Achieved 100% completion in the 2018 and 2019 performance management and annual appraisal campaign by getting all the managers invested in the process and in their team.
•Facilitated the implementation of 3 innovative idea on client sites by collaborating with all stakeholders
Lead the recruitment on several key projects and responsible for placing all critical roles such as Project Director, Project Manager, Discipline Leaders etc.
