An elevated flyover segmental bridge in Dammam which was consisting of 4 bridges of total length of 2.7 km. Pre-cast box segments were launched with a launching girder method to their final position. Construction included 52 foundation pile caps, 88 piers and 44 pier heads. Total spans 47 with various lengths and the maximum span was up to 55m. The production of 720 concrete box segments took place in a well landscaped pre-cast area, on the site.

Project 1: The overall project (174Km) split into 3 sections. E65 is a new alignment expressway with 2 lanes and 1 emergency lane per direction (6 lanes total) with a central double New Jersey concrete traffic barrier.

My responsibility was at the section 1 (60Km) highway. Structures included:
•Two tunnels with length 3Km each one. Tunnelling method was NATM.
•3 river viaduct bridges - 2 roads overpasses by post-tensioned slabs - 1 railway overpass - 35 box culverts and underpasses and a considerable number of retaining walls.
•A great stone columns and vertical plastic drains for the embankments foundation in valley areas.
•Two big interchanges (I/C).

Project 2: Rehabilitation works was consisting of pavement and asphalt works and construction of new tolls.

Project 3: Construction of a new 21Km highway. This section was a new mountainous alignment highway with 2 lanes and 1 emergency lane (3.75+3.75+2.50) per direction with a central double New Jersey concrete traffic barrier. Structures included:
•Road NATM Tunnels with total length 3, 000m.
•8 big bridges - 3 overpasses - 11 underpasses - 40 box culverts.
•Large cuts and embankments.
