-Project: Sludge disposal for Tunisia: Validation of the quality of the Tunis sludge
and its possibilities for re-use in agriculture by relying on the German expertise in the
field of sludge disposal Development of the Tunisian Standard of sludge by relying on
the German expertise and taking into consideration the current situation of soils and
sludge. The Project is funded by GIZ-Germany.
* Evaluation and monitoring of Wastewater Treatment Plants in the north of Germany to
deliver its treated water in clean River (Warno River which used for drink purpose after
simple treatment) and the final product of sludge to re-use.At the same period of time
Examination of the Five WWTPs in Five big cities in Syria to compare with German
technologies and to re-use its treated water for Irrigation purposes.
* Determination of sludge quality in 30 German WWTPs for severalwastewater
technologies. Additionally, the sludge reuse in agriculture and disposal reuse possibilities
was evaluated according to the German Law.
