Transcribes dictation/notes and types reports, patient histories, surgical procedure notes, discharge summaries, patient abstract, significant diagnostic findings, etc.
Sorting/arranging of medical/clinical forms of patient’s health records
Applies knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy physiology
Typing/entering medical reports, sick leaves, laboratory results, biopsies, etc
Auditing of inpatient discharge files as part of the documentation policy
Verifies accuracy of patient information such as name and identification number, verifies accuracy of transcription for correct punctuation, grammar and spelling.
Liaises/Coordinates with Doctors, Nurses and other units/ staff of the Hospital for timely completion of required functions.
Compiles and archives ER, OPD and Inpatient files
Processed insurance claims from OPD patients (part time basis)
Maintain and observes confidentiality of patient’s medical records
Attends departmental committee meetings as an active member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team
Perform other duties as required
Maintain and protect medical record security and integrity thru filing, assembling, distribution and retrieval of patient’s health records.
Preparation of outpatient’s appointment files and distributes them into their corresponding clinics and departments.
Compiles necessary and pertinent data’s such as laboratory/ radiological reports, medical reports, sick leaves into their respective hard copy medical files.
Attends incoming calls, process and delivers requested files in a timely manner
Coordinates with receptionists and nurses for proper workflow of outpatient’s and inpatient daily activities.
Retrieves patient’s health records, sorting and filing via terminal digit filing system
Performs other duties as required
Responsible for registering, scheduling of appointments and admission of patients on arrival, obtains demographic information, authorization for treatment and consent, etc.
Collects relevant and pertinent documents such Civil ID copies, Passport copies, Insurance cards, etc.
Provides clerical and administrative duties to the assigned unit including data entry, filing, answering and transferring of phone calls and providing general information to clients, guests and visitors.
Coordinates with housekeeping nursing department prior to admission procedures.
Performs cashiering and billing of outpatient as well as inpatient payment system using Trakcare.
Follows establish departmental procedures, objectives, safety and environmental and or infection control standards
