Managing physical and virtual servers hosted in Qatar Data Center, including server health, performance, and troubleshoot OS, network and Hypervisor level issues including DC physical infrastructure such as power, cooling, networks, remote hands, basic and advanced monitoring using BMS, DCIM together with monitoring tools HPOM, OVPM, Semantec NetBackup, , Manage Engine Netflow Analyser, HP Network Node Manager(NNM), HP Network Security Manager(NSM), Sitescope, Juniper Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP) with BMC Remedy ticketing tool linked with Outlook web app.
Job Description : Working as a member of Global infrastructure hosting services - Data
center services Unix team with highly skilled engineers. Managing Cloud & Legacy managed
environment, providing services to 6 major business platforms across more than 69 Business
units spread across 719 facilities, 12 DC’s and 92 storage frames with standardized
hardware platform, supported by combination of in-house and incumbent support groups.
Responsible to provide tiered support towards, UNIX and Linux operating systems running in
physical and virtual environment.
Job Role : Provide Unix / Storage Support to North America, Latin America and
APAC regions shared Accounts (supporting almost 2000+ global unix servers primarily Linux,
and AIX). Support Incident, problem and change management and coordinating with Release
management team including major incidents. Typical day-to-day changes include (but not
limited) Patching, NFS config, DNS, Bios Upgrade, SAN Migration, Filesystem Extension,
VCS, Volume Group, HA, Egenera Patching, Network Bonding/Teaming, VM’s Vmotion,
Managing Zones & troubleshooting performance issues, Setup/configure & Troubleshoot
VCS, LVM etc. Vulnerability and Patch management. Business Continuity Plan and Disaster
Recovery activities. Server provisioning, resource configuration, availability and capacity
management. High availability cluster management. Data centre support tools such as IBM
Network Installation Manager (NIM), Redhat Network (RHN) Satellite Server, nmon and
Beyond Trust Power Broker. Knowledge Management - Creation of SOPs for regular
activities. Provide tiered support model round the clock across the globe for faster resolution
of standard incidents and requests.
Job Role :
Kernel customization, programming, debugging
Embedded software design, implementation and debugging ranging from the
driver/Interrupt level up to the application level for ARM A20 SOC
Driver development and debugging
Develop Kernel Level Drivers
Networking driver development, Ethernet and Wireless LAN driver
Embedded programming using C++ / C
Maintain and develop WxWidgets applications for use in business
