Review and approve of construction/fabrication sketches and Shop Drawing’s, Project Quality Plan, NDT Plan or Drawing, WPS, PQR, Method Statements of erection and fabrication of steel truss. Witness of PTP (Production Test Plate) test in mechanical test lab. Check daily if there any complaints to the approved Quality Plan, Project Specification, Codes and Standards and issue RCA (Request for Corrective Action) if there is any non-conformance. Monitor and verify that the work execution and implementation are as per approved procedures, approved project specification and approved drawings. Monitor and witness of dimensional checking, fit-up inspection, in-process welding monitoring, final weld inspection, NDT of weld joints, Blasting and surface preparation inspection before paintings, painting DFT and WFT measuring with contractor and subcontractor. Supervise and monitoring of work progress and liaison with contractor for the implementation of working plan.
Provide technical guidance for preparation of WPS for the project specific requirements.
Check daily if there any complaints to the approved Quality Plan.
Check and Review construction/installation sketches and Shop Drawing’s.
Monitoring of job site Quality Control Inspection Progress.
Monitor and verify that the work execution and implementation are as per approved procedures, approved specification and approved drawings.
Review of ITP, material verification, WPS, PQR, MTR in all stage and final inspection.
Perform in process inspection such as material, layout, fit-ups, visual, and dimensional control of various pressure vessels, piping and storage tanks etc in accordance with latest revision drawings, applicable codes, standards, and required tolerance.
Review of projects scope of work, project specification, drawing like pipeline alignment sheet and isometric.
Inspection of Pre-fabricated structural steel, such as beam, column, bracing both dimensionally and visually as per required standards
Inspection of fabrication and erection stage of Packing Plant, Cement Silo, Clinker Shed, Cement Mill, Fly Ash Transport Gallery, Pontoon, Roller Press Building etc.
Inspection of heavy equipment such as Truck, Trailer, Crane, Generator, Forklift, Bobcat, Pay loader, Cargo Lift including load test and issueing of load test certificate.
Wittness of Hydrostatic test of Pressure vessel.
Prepare lifting plan for critical lifting (two crane tandom lifting) and monitor lifting operation for rig building in drilling site.
Provide technical guidance and expertise to the project QA/QC personnel on welding related issues.
Undertake analyzing high weld repairs and giving guidance for improvements.
Undertake the control and management of site welding operations in association with QC in charge at site.
Provide Training to the new welders in different materials as per company requirements.
Supervise staffs for reporting, recording and inspection activities.
Liaison with classification society and arrange quality inspection on ship part blocks on predefined time.
Co-ordinate with procurement department for logistic support of welding materials to keep the welding operation in smooth condition.
Perform scheduled maintenance of welding equipment such as SMAW, TIG, MIG machines and maintenance of their spare parts.
Control and Guideline the welders for the proper use of welding consumables.
Incoming materials inspection with regard to the actual traceability against manufacturer certificate (MTC)
Prepare Monthly Reports of QC activities.
Investigate the root case or NCR & repeated violation and report to the QA manager for corrective action or preventive action & Preparation of status log for NCR, RFI, and Log Book Entries.
Responsible for ensuring of welding and piping requirements to be applied as ASME 31.3/B31.4/API 1104.
Monitor welder qualification test as per project Requirements.
Final dimensional and weld visual inspection of pressure vessels, pipe spools, plates & tanks, as per client approved fabrication drawing’s, client inspection package and quality plan
Witnessing and monitoring of NDT Tests
Conduct inspection of fabricated materials at yard prior to delivery to site.
Prepare package for hydrostatic test procedure.
Preparing Procedure for new Materials & techniques as per code.
Preparing tie-in packages (metallic & non-metallic) and hot tap packages.
Issuance of inspection release certificate and verification of shipping arrangement prior to dispatch of requirement.
Tracking of individual welder repair rate as well as project total repair rate to improve quality.
Calculate estimated and breakdown Standard Minute Value (SMV), thread and accessories consumption of garments.
Prepare production line layout on the basis of time and man machine flow chart.
Check the actual time of each operation by stop watch and balance the line graph known as cycle check.
Speed and performance training of worker by analyzing their operation and work movement to reduce cycle time and hence increase productivity.
Keeping record and monitoring of daily production and follow up the shipment requirements of garments.
