• Actively monitor young learners for signs of distress and promptly acting on concerns of abuse in line with dedicated British Council processes.
• Making personal invitations to open days, induction days, and parent evenings.
• Handling parents and students complaints Face-to-face and on the phone and reporting promptly.
• Support teachers and the management team with placement testing on premises and off-site.
• Creating and printing Young Learners reports and certificates.
• As Deputy Child Protection Focal Point, support the Focal Point in all CP activities, communications and meetings, and assist in developing CP strategy for the BC Doha.
• Building up an analytical picture of what parents expect and would like and how far the British Council is meeting those expectations, along with recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Undertaking desk research and keeping records of communications for review by the management team, and providing the team with feedback data on a systematic basis.
• Public relations and marketing: assisting Academic Manager Young Learners Manager with marketing of events and marketing activities as appropriate.
• Line managing teaching centre assistants (TCAs) and carrying out performance management meetings in accordance with corporate standards and deadlines.
• Following up proactively on absenteeism and lateness.
• Speak directly with parents to gain a solid understanding of their needs.
• Translating into Arabic any letters, messages, etc. that need to be sent to parents regularly every term.
• Meeting and greeting potential parents and students during to act as a point of communication on courses and ensure an appropriate welcome to the British Council.
• Working with Registration team and Customer Services to ensure Young Learners waiting lists are fully monitored and updated according to the agreed standards.
