Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate offset data before the start of drilling
- Analyse, evaluate and describe formations while drilling, using data from sources such as cuttings,
gas, measuring while drilling (MWD) and logging while drilling (LWD) tools, and wireline logs
- Advise on drilling hazards and drilling bit optimisation
- Supervise mudlogging, MWD and LWD, core logging and wireline services teams, and monitor
quality control in relation to these services
- Keep detailed records, write reports, complete daily, weekly and post-well reporting logs and send
these to appropriate departments.
- Prepare Comprehensive Daily Geological report and maintain approved flow of data to the
operations center.
- Communicate regularly with onshore operations offices, acting as the representative of the onshore
oil company geology team.

Key Responsibilities:
Surface Data acquisition, Real-Time drilling parameter monitoring and transmission.
Data QA/QC, Mud Log generation, End of Well Report writing.
Mud logging unit management, Rig communication with client and 3rd parties.
Equipment installation, calibrations and maintenance.
Geological formation evaluation and hydrocarbon detection, supervision of Mud Loggers.

Accomplishment:
Lead a team for a start-up drilling campaign on Block - 17 (ZINIA Phase 2 Project) for Total
E & P Angola. Real-time data transmission via mud logging acquisition computer was set-up
and received in Pau without hitches. I received a commendation from Total for achieving
this within the stipulated time.

• Monitoring all drilling parameters such as (WOH, WOB, RPM, Torque, ROP, flow rate, bit performance etc) and informing on various events (pressure loss/gain, mud loss/gain, gas influx etc), while annotating same on Real-time log.
• Supervision and collection of drilled cuttings samples at Lag depth from shale shaker, bagging as per clients' requirement, and processing for petrographic analysis.
• Analyzing and describing of drilled cuttings sample using microscope following a standard description order and performing chemical test on the samples as well as checking for hydrocarbon shows with Fluoroscope.
• Monitoring mud pit volumes during drilling, tripping, casing and cementing and updating of hourly losses and trip sheet.
• Preparation of Lithological (Master) log of drilled section from observation of drilled cuttings, gas data and Rate of Penetration /gamma ray interpretation.
• Gas monitoring via gas detection equipment
• Carrying out routine maintenance on sensors and equipment.
• Assisting Data Engineers in the preparation of End of Well Report as well as Daily Drilling report.

Accomplishment:
Got a commendation from Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria for detecting a 4 bbls kick while drilling 8½” section of a High Pressure High Temperature well.
