RESIDENT CIVIL ENGINEER

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES EXPERIENCE AS A RESIDENT CIVIL ENGINEER AND CIVIL INSPECTOR FOR CLIENT REPRESENTATIVE AND CONSULTANT.
• Involve in designs, specifications and execution of projects.
• Evaluates construction Projects, determined the best engineering method or practice to accomplish the job.
• Ensure that staff is properly trained in the use of equipment, have access to and use any gear.
• Ensure projects adhere to all government and industry standards and guidelines.
• Monitor the actions on site of the Main contractor against the project specifications and drawings.
• Supervise and direct Site Inspectors in their daily duties.
• Carrying out of the final inspection for certification of final completion and handing over of the works.
• Monitor the progress of the work against the approved contractor program of works.
• Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction activities on site.
• Issues the relevant quality records and issues non-conformance report.
• Monitors correct curing operations, atmospheric conditions during concreting and check sampling operations.
• Inspect and check moisture content, sub-grade dry density and compression strength.
• Verifies special processes and the relevant worker’s qualifications.
• Ensure the correct implementation of the Approved Test Plan according to Client requirements.
• Orderly check, collect and manages documents certifying tests, controls and inspection carried out witnessing the test.
• Assist Sr. Resident Engineer in carrying out Monthly Report status.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES EXPERIENCE AS A PROJECT ENGINEER/QAQC/SITE ENGINEER FOR MAIN CONTRACTOR
• Responsible for the Quality and Workmanship of every activity.
• Responsible for the QA/QC documents like Certificates, Calibration, Test Results, Inspection Request, Non Compliance Report, Permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents.
• Responsible for Method of Statement of each activity, Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the Project.
• Coordinate with all projects related personnel on day to day progress of work activities.
• Prepares report for in weekly, monthly and attends meeting regularly with consultants, clients and other engineer’s.
• Ensure that foremen and labors have the materials, equipment and information necessary to complete the job.
• Assist the Project Manager in reviewing contracts and proposal.
• Assist the Project Manager, prepare and issue purchasing documents.
• Overall responsible for specific safety programs in coordination with Safety Manager.
• Responsible for the close out information to the client example as-built drawing, warranties, certificates and others.
• Manages parts of construction and overseeing building works.
• Undertaking surveys, setting out sites and organizing facilities.
• Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly.
• Liaising with Quantity Surveyors about the ordering and negotiating of materials.
