Omar Galal

Working as a part time designer in Professor Tarek Abd El Latif’s office since the June of 2012 where I had the chance to design different types of projects with different scale in regions like Cairo, Hurgadah, Elkuwait and Juba at Elsudan.

1) Participated in two architectural competitions during 2011:
a- Young Architects at the British University in Egypt.
b- Participated with Dr. Abd el Rahman Abd el Naiem in a
Competition organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Housing.

2) In May 2012 Formed a group of architects under the name
"Hawiya" the Arabic word for Identity and participated and won in three competitions which are:
a- The first stage of "Taking Leave" competition which was
organized by the British University in Egypt.
b- The third Prize in a competition for designing the club of the syndicate of engineering in July 2012.
c- Acquired honorary mention in Alexandria's syndicate club
development in 2013.
d- Currently participating in a housing competition at Burj Alarab
organized by the Syndicate of Engineering but results of the competition haven't been announced yet.

3) In addition to all that I had the chance to privately design a villa at the Fifth District in New Cairo, and the elevations of a
Mosque at Kalyoub, however the mosque is still under development till this moment.

I worked as a teaching assistant at the faculty of architectural engineering of elshorouk were i have participated in teaching the following courses:

1) Architectural Design.
2) Urban Design.

3/10/2008_9/9/2010 Working at "Dar Group" which is a multi
national consultant company as a member of the Architectural
Design Team where I participated in the design of:

a- University of Princess Nora for Girls in Saudi Arabia.
b- The Knowledge Economic City in Saudi Arabia.
c- Burj el Gathafi in the Republic of Libya.
d- El Shamia Haram Expansion in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
