Worked as Head of Corporate Finance & Advisory with primary focus on expanding local market presence. Expertise in Project Finance, Transaction Structuring, PPPs, Advanced Financial Modeling, Restructuring, Business Valuations, Feasibilities Analysis, Due Diligence, Deal Advisory and Strategic Advisory across multiple sectors such as Infrastructure, Real Estate, Energy & Alternative Energy, Manufacturing, Mining & Exploration and Financial Services.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Working with multi-disciplinary teams for advising clients on sophisticated transaction/funding structures, bid process management, negotiations and assistance in fund raising, deal structuring and closures.
- Planning, preparation and review of deliverables in form of written reports, presentations and discussions with clients and project teams including consortium members.
- Business development and building strong relationships with the clients and business partners.
- Develop people through effective supervision, coaching and mentoring all staff levels and maintaining a program to continually develop personal and team skills in Project Finance techniques, Financial Modeling, PPPs, etc.
Worked as Vice President - Arif Habib Investments Management Limited (AHIM). AHIM is a leading asset management company with over PKR 22bn funds under management. Primary job responsibilities included:
- Preparation of Investment Recommendations covering Financial Services, Auto & Allied, Chemicals, Paper and Board, Synthetic Fibre, Steel, Cement and FMCG Sectors;
- Analysis of diverse business proposals and valuation of various Capital and Debt market instruments. These included development of financial models, scenario and sensitivity analysis on key inputs, risk management issues;
- Active involvement in major group-based M&A deals. Worked as team member on Privatization of Pak Steel worth US$350m and Fatima Fertilizer worth US$200m;
- Involvement in formulating and executing investment strategies for purchase/ sales of equity/ fixed income securities and preparations of marketing presentations for clients and assistance in product development.
Job responsibilities as Sub-Fund Manager for a closed end fund included review of the investment portfolio and market analysis (both local and selected international bourses), management of Risk & Portfolio Management Software, devising investment policies and liaison with the internal auditors and regulators for various reporting purposes.
