DESIGN:
HVAC SYSTEM,
- Preparing design of HVAC system based on:
1. ASHRAE handbook, HVAC Applications.
2. HVAC Design Manual For Hospitals And Clinics
3. Carrier Hourly Analysis Program (HAP) program.
4. Air conditioning principles and systems.
- Preparing detailed load calculation based on architecture plans.
- Sizing of chilled water pipes based on fluid flow rate and fluid velocity.
- Sizing of air ducts & outlets based on air velocity and friction losses.
- Coordination of all MEP services with architectural and structural design.
PLUMBING SYSTEM,
- Preparing design of plumbing system based on:
1. Plumbing engineering services design guide.
2. Practical plumbing design guide.
3. British standard code.
4. ADDC & ADSSC local regulations.
- Calculating simultaneous demand based on loading unit of sanitary fixtures. Water pipe Sizing based on water flow rates and water velocity. Water pump selection and sizing Based on water flow rate and total head.
- Preparing the design drawings for drainage and storm water systems, calculating the stack size (soil, waste and vent), and sump pumps capacity manhole depth and size of septic tanks.
- Submit, follow-up and secure the approval of ADDC & ADSSC.
FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEM,
- Preparing schematic design of firefighting system based on:
1. Local regulation-fire safety and prevention regulations.
2. UAE Fire & Life Safety Code of Practice.
3. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
- Prepare fire protection system in building i.e. Portable fire extinguishers, sprinkler system, dry and wet riser system & external fire hydrants.
- Submit, follow-up and secure the approval of Civil defense authority.
MANAGEMENT/ SUPERVISION WORKS,
- Manage/ supervise the construction and delivery of the assigned MEP projects in terms of completion of the works at site, in accordance with the contract documents and proper documentation.
- Maintain good relationships with the client.
- Develop a professional design and supervision team.
- Monitor the project plan and review of progress against set targets to ensure completion on time.
- Notify the client of any delays to the works.
- Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day management of projects with the team
- Review shop drawings, technical material submittals & calculations issued by the Contractor to ensure they are suitable and adequate and according to contract specifications. Review and resolves any anomalies prior to starting of work.
- Supervising the execution of works for HVAC, Drainage, Storm water, Water supply, Gas and Firefighting systems.
Ensure that works are undertaken in a safe manner utilizing project safety plan.
- Ensure that the works are installed to the specifications, quality and other requirements detailed in the contract documents.
- Attending weekly progress & Technical meetings.
- Preparing the minutes of technical meetings and monthly progress reports.
