VW certified repairs, diagnoses and service. This would include repairs such as engine overhaul, brake service, transmission repair, and electrical diagnoses. Day to day interactions with customers to explain detailed repairs or service producers. Manage work flow in order to better service the customer needs, and maximize shop service production. Assist in training new and existing staff members with new advancing technology. Was also required to service and maintain VW service instruments, as in computers and special tools. Keep PC's up to date with the newest software offered by VW AG.
At FloMax I was required to service customers at the service desk as an adviser as well as a service technician. This would include writing up work orders with customer concerns for technicians to later refer to, fallowing up with customers for additions repairs or recommendations. Along with front end customer service, I was responsible for diagnoses of extensive electrical issues and provide other technicians with tools required to repair these issues, as in wiring diagrams, service bulletins, and repair tips for future repairs.
Being the Head of parts department would require me to oversee everything done in the parts department, as in orders, requests, and employees within the department. I had to control inventory in terms of what can be ordered and what should be stocked, also what can be returned and which aftermarket supplies would help grow business for the company. I was required to input final stock and special orders, contact Toyota head office for any disputes related to customer concerns or parts required by technicians for repairs. Also was required to manage employee schedules.
As a service adviser I was required to manage customer concerns and relay them to technicians so work could be performed to the best of its abilities. I was in charge of managing work flow into shop as in which technician was qualified to do what repair and involve the customer when additional repairs were required. I would also take care of explaining to customers what was performed on their vehicles at the time of check and cash them out. I would be required on a day to day bases to open work orders and fallow up with customers as work was being performed.
I am Audi certified since 2011 to present, which includes web based and instructor lead training. These qualifications allow me to diagnose and repair a large variety of Volkwagon's and Audi's, along with aiding to many other manufactures.
After completing 5 years in the automotive field as an apprentice, I was given the chance to write the exam for an Automotive service technician license. Which I possess also with an Inter-provincial Certificate.
Automotive service technician graduate. 2 year course on the fundamentals of the automotive industries. As in: -Introduction to the Automotive Industry and Shop Safety -Preventive Maintenance -Service and repair procedures
