Managing a team of designers, draftsman’s and material engineers and guide them on all design and implementation matters.
Managing the design and technical process using commercial, contractual, programme / time awareness and technical expertise.
Supporting, understanding and advising the client as to the requirements and obligations in the development of a building design.
Ensuring the design and technical process recognizes current legislation, standards and codes of practice, where appropriate.
Ensuring design and technical information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales.
Striving to eliminate health and safety risks in the design and financial risks during construction.
Facilitates effective team interaction.
Acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions.
Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential.
Discuss price quotations for designs using standard pricing schemes and including options for using different materials with projects department.
Meet with Client to determine Requirements & Needs.
Design & Create solutions (Sketches, Plans & Specifications).
Develop presentations which may include drawings, sketches, renderings, perspectives, color and material boards, photographs or models.
Consider materials, effects and costs, liaise with suppliers, arrange samples and prepare specifications.
Collaborate with professional and technical consultants (mechanical, electrical and structural engineers, architects, audio-visual consultants).
Preparing the scope of work and timeline for team and drawings and conceptual details.
Nominate suppliers and contractors according to the design and materials selected by the client.
Provides a weekly summary report to Director of Operations about ongoing projects.
