Performs Operating Room (OR) nursing activities in the unit. Assists in the educational program for student nurses/Nursing Staff Effectiveness Training by the example in carrying out procedures according to standards. Helps in the orientation, gives incidental teachings, and performs evaluation of new and old personnel and student nurses/ Nursing Staff Effectiveness Training as her experience warrants. Functions as supervisory personnel and discharges the duties and responsibilities of a Nurse Unit Manager or Assistant Nurse Unit Manager in their absence. Responsible for the nature and quality of care given to patients before, during and after the surgical procedure.
