Since the graduation from the Hellenic Naval Academy on June 1984 until 1997 (with the brakes of post graduate studies in Greece and United States), served onboard various types of ships (Destroyers, Fast Attack Crafts and Frigates) having duties of Assistant Engineering Officer, Damage Control Officer, Electronics Systems Officer and Chief Engineer (on both steam turbines and internal combustion / diesel engines varying from 6.000 to 60.000 SHP).
After the service onboard the fleet, undertook various shore commanding positions in technical departments at Naval Bases and Procurement departments as well as in Training and Development Commands. These duties included:
• Director of the Electrical and Electronics Technical Support Department at Salamis Naval Base.
• Director of the Informatics and M.I.S. Department at Salamis Naval Base.
• Head of Naval Offset Programs Contracts and Quality Assurance Dept. of the Ministry of Defense.
• Head of Quality Management & Health & Safety Sector for Electronic and Electrical & Electronics Engineering Services at Salamis Naval Base (shipyard).
• Director of Training Policy and Organization at Naval Training Command and General Staff.
