Induction motor (Rotating machine) electrical design of IEC and NEMA, 3 phase, 230V to 6600V, 50Hz 60Hz standard and upto 120Hz VFD, 1HP to 1000HP, 2Pole to 12Pole, random and form coil induction machine design. Stack length change based on the maximum capability of frame size, winding number of turns, wire size, span and connection change. Two speed one winding and high torque motor designs. Inverter duty motor design. Motor temperature rise and torque check for wide speed VFD application. Optimized full load current for inverter selection. High altitude, ambient temperature, zone 2 (ExN) designs. Explosion proof motor design. Review reciprocating compressor torque pulsation and other load speed torque curve. Bearing calculation and shaft deflection check for belted or direct axial/radial loads. Motor shaft and frame capability for fast bus transfer.
Prepare techo-commercial offer for three phase induction motors on time and high quality execution. Experienced in detailed motor specification & project document review, scrutinize specification and fetch application and motor requirements and prepare comments and exception, accessories selection. Work on replacement of old GE motors.
DC motor quotation from 1HP to 500HP, DPFG, totally enclosed, Shunt, series and compound wound motor. Replacement of old GE DC motors.
Knowledge of NEMA, IEC, API541/547, IEEE841 and UL standards. Pre bid technical regulations check. Check country specific efficiency, technical/non technical, certification and documentation requirements.
Technical support to GE global sales team and global customers. Day to day technical problem solving with a close contact with global customers.
Six sigma green belt certification project- Touch time reduction in electrical deign check in application engineering process through lean methodology.
Lead process simplification, process time reduction, quality improvement projects.

Medium and high voltage induction motor design.
Induction motor rotor design. Rotor slot design: bar rotor slot change, bar width and height change for desired performance parameters. Bar material change. Check temperature of rotor bar, end ring, surface for hazardous area type motors.
Technical support to back end sales team for critical designs.
Inverter duty motor design wide speed range design.

Single phase and three phase low voltage induction motor design from 0.3Kw to 60HP, 2 pole, 80 to 160 frame IEC/IS (Indian standards) motors for pumps.
Hands on calculation of number of turns, slot fill factor and wire size selection. Prototype testing, pilot run manufacturing.
Product optimization be reducing active material. Product development, value engineering, hands on manufacturing experience, shop floor technical support and issue resolutions.
Design and tested submersible motors for open well and bore well pumps. Worked on development of singe phase 6” bore well design, development and testing project. Worked with vendor on development of double motor pressure booster pump control circuit.
Coordination with vendors for winding and diecasted rotors. Inventory management and audit of R&D lab.
