Working with the Metals Technologies group of Siemens and engaged in turnkey execution of projects including Electrical and Automation projects in the Steel Industry. Electrical and Automation portion includes DCS, Instrumentation, Drives and Power Distribution (with Transformers and MCCs). My role as Business Administrator is :
• Management of projects in Project Execution phase. The projects are executed jointly by Siemens, India, along with partners from group companies overseas, with Profit & Loss responsibilities of turnover of about 1600 Million INR of the Electrics and Automation segment.
• Project monitoring and control against a Base Plan. TimeSchedule, Cash Flow, Margins are monitored and controlled on a month to month basis

o Proflow for Commercial Documents
o SAP Spiridon for Ordering, Invoicing
o Fitback (from end tool for ongoing changes in SAP Spiridon)

Solutron Inc., is a privately held company engaged in technical consultancy, Patent search and validation as well as information technology related business with large contracts of about $70 Million from Lockheed Martin, CSC and other clients.
• As technical consultant to Matsushita Electric Company, worked on control systems for Fuel Cells.
• Other clients included, NASA, Lockheed Martin and Environmental Protection Agency
• Work included technical market intelligence, reporting on competitor activity in a particular technology area.
*Account Manager, Industrial IT, responsible for large industrial clients.
*Lead a team of local and foreign engineers with prime responsibility of managing target accounts from feasibility study, making budgetary proposals, presenting proposal and system features, assisting client/consultant in preparation of technical specifications, preparing proposal and offer, contract negotiation, extending execution support, post-sales service to managing subsequent upgrades and enhancement phases. *Was responsible for marketing and project management of turnkey Industrial IT systems involving customized application software including high level optimization options, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Instrumentation, Drives, along with other bought-out equipment and services, as required. Examples of projects and their scope :
*Managed a project at Indian Oil refinery where four units of their power plant were controlled. The units had to communicate with each other with automated co-ordination of power flow in case of normal and external power outage conditions.
*Managed a project for ITC Tissue Paper plant where four paper machines were controlled to produce paper with consistent basis weight, moisture content, caliper etc. Integration of Process and Business Information and communication with their HO through a Virtual Private Network was part of the contract.
*Have been trained in Optimization and Advanced Process Control at ABB, Hartford, CT, USA.
*Have taken many professional management and technical courses certified by ABB.
