• Support and ensure the Company’s workplace culture is consistent with the Company’s Core Values.
• Manages the QA/QC teams of various projects and monitors their progress and requirements.
• Provides functional support to QA/QC teams for projects falling under their authority such as assistance in preparation of technical submittals, close out of open inspection requests, NCRs, Surveillance Reports, punch lists and other quality issues affecting the handing over of projects.
• Responsible for distributing QA/QC resources within their projects to ensure projects run smoothly.
• Review contract requirements/specifications and ensures that projects are meeting these requirements.
• Monitors and ensures that project quality documentation being developed at site such as inspection & test plans, material inspection logs, inspection reports are in accordance with the project specification.
• Ensures pertinent project quality records (inspections, tests, logs, etc.) are available, updated and properly maintained.
• Ensures that monthly quality reports for projects are being submitted on-time.
• Coordinates with our in-house training team to ensure that trainings are regularly being conducted for the project quality staff.
• Conducts regular inspections on all projects to ensure fulfilment of client requirements and that work is being conducted as per the project quality plan.
• Participates in the conduct of internal quality audits and ensures that projects are in line with the company’s quality management system.
• Ensure project quality objectives are developed in line with the company’s mission and vision and are achieved within the set timeframe.
• Reviews project nonconformities and monitors the investigation and corrective action efforts.
• Work safely at all times and to report any hazards or incidents.
• Actively participate in HSE trainings, programs, audits and inspections when required.
• Exercise a personal duty of care for their own health, safety and welfare and to that of others.
Assigned at The Cove project, Al Hudayriat Island, Abu Dhabi - Reporting to the Senior Projects Manager; I am designated as the Project QAQC Lead; responsibilities but not limited to; managing the project quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) for all disciplines and offers technical assistance to the operations team. Review materials submittals, method statements, shop drawings and handing over documents such as, approved Inspections and Test Reports, As built drawings, operations and maintenance manuals, warranty certificates for project close out. Ensure that required tests are carried out by the independent Testing laboratory. Ensure that all inspections to be carried out have the approved materials, shop drawings, method statement, as per the Project Quality Plan and Quality Management System. Handles close out of client observations and non-conformances. Closely monitor ongoing site activities to ensure compliance with project standards and qualities. Monitor and coordinate snagging/de-snagging works. Preparation of correspondences, trackers and reports.
Development of project execution plan
• Directing overall planning of construction activities
• Assist with determining budgetary estimates and resources requirements
• Managing the assignment of manpower, materials and equipment to meet targets
• Ensure adherence with quality standards as well as health, safety and environment standards
• Monitors construction progress and resolve issues that may arise
• Negotiate with subcontractors and other stakeholders involve in site activities
• Communicate and coordinate with the team, manpower, subcontractors, various departments, client representatives
• Organize and hold kick off meeting to align subcontractors, project administration, store management and team
members
