- Project Manager of Qatar Office overseeing all daily operations and projects.

- Road Safety Audit Team Leader on a wide spectrum of Road Safety Audits (RSA), successfully completing over 400 Road Safety Audits in the Middle East region (mostly Qatar).

- Preparing Traffic Diversion Plans (TDPs) on roads varying from local roads to expressways. This involves regular meetings with clients and managing a team of AutoCAD technicians to produce drawings and reports.

- Site supervision for Traffic Diversion Plan Installations, guiding contractors on safe installation procedures.

- Working on preparing Traffic Impact Studies (TIS) in the Middle East Region.

- Traffic Modelling and Analysis of proposed roads schemes including use of Synchro/Sidra/HCS.

* Significant on-site experience working with this successful construction company for over 6 years; part-time
during the college term and full-time during the summer months.
* Primarily involved in house construction/refurbishments, and also public projects including schools.
* Initially employed as a labourer and eventually as an engineer with responsibility for specific housing
projects with several laborers and many different types of subcontractors.
* Gained vast knowledge of all aspects of the construction industry from drafting initial job estimates right
through to sign-off on building works.
* Specific duties include:
o Attending meetings with clients, architects and structural engineers;
o All initial setting out works, including working with different types of levels, laser, dumpy etc;
o Organising staff and sub-contractors;
o Surveying / taking levels;
o Measuring and ordering materials e.g. concrete, timber, pipes;
o Overall site responsibility, opening site and locking up;
o Daily recordings of site operations, workers and machine hours;
o Reading drawings; and
o Working within strict budgets and timeframes.
* Also completed 8 months work placement with this firm as part of Recognised Placement from Queen’s
University Belfast. As part of this placement I was an engineer for specific projects.
* The knowledge I gained during my college tenure assisted me significantly in this role.
