Solve complex technical issues escalated by Level 1 Support staff and/or issues reported/logged by customers.
Proactively document, monitor and update Support tickets and actionable steps taken.
Communicating progress to the customers.
Submit software product issues (bugs) to product development for resolution.
Stay up-to-date with all the latest technologies concerning Rational's software products.
Create Knowledge Base Articles / Technical Notes.
Active member/participant in technical forums like Developer Works and CMCrossroads, providing solutions to queries raised on Synergy, Change and Build Forge.
Provide technical support and product training to other team members.
Handling daily builds and release activities
Scheduling nightly builds for certain projects
Adding new users to the CM Synergy database & Change Synergy.
Creating branches, archives, making necessary changes to the scripts involved.
Initiating DCMs
Updating the intranet (TUX) with version releases, QAC and warnings.
Handling builds & releases for Android projects on MAC PCs.
Responsible for all administrative activities pertaining to CM Synergy and Temposync.
Scheduling weekly/daily backups of all databases via cron jobs.
Trouble shooting day to day issues pertaining Change Synergy (including fresh installation of Change for a database facing data corruption in the Change data).
Carried out the migration of databases from an old server setup to a new setup (HP-UX to HP-UX& HP-UX to Linux).
Creation and addition of new user accounts, roles and privileges in Synergy, Change Synergy (bug tracking tool for synergy), Temposync and Synchronicity.
Responsible for creating new project vaults in Temposync and enabling PR/CRs in its bug tracking tool, Synchronicity.
Also providing CM Synergy administrative support for Shanghai, The Netherlands and Southampton.
