Acting as Project Manager for a Finishes Contractor on a AED 5 Million contract delivering theming / finishing works for Farah Leisure at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
Key responsibilities;
- Plan, organise, direct and evaluate construction / finishing projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
- Strictly adhering to Contractual Milestone’s and Programme.
- Vendor selection and approval.
- Leading and participating in regular meeting with project staff, client, architects and engineers.
- Planning and organising daily site activities for operatives and sub-contractors
- Involvement in manpower and production scheduling according to the contract programme.
- Assisting designers where required as well as working closely with all members of the project team including giving guidance where needed.
- Ensuring timely project completion through project scheduling, expediting of material deliveries and management of material / document submittals / approvals.
- Preparation and coordination of weekly and monthly project reports, both internal and external.
- Verify, recommend and process invoices and assessing of variations and delay claims.
- Health, safety and quality management.
I am currently working for TSME based in Dubai as the senior project & operations manager overseeing the day to day activities of a Construction and FM Company. As well a project planning coordination and manpower management I hold full responsibility for the strategic management of all operations and I am accountable for maintaining high performance levels.
My areas of work are in construction, facilities management and off shore activities.
General day to day running of the office. Ensuring the effective smooth running and leading of the workforce.
I have also been responsible for the performance of all packing, picking and dispatch operations, with a annual turn over of 65million AED as well as overseeing start to finish processing of customer orders, aided by a team of 2 shift supervisors and a total of 100+ staff.
Over seeing production orders of up to 500, 000AED
Making decisions under pressure.
Conducting daily operational meetings with senior managers and supervisors.
Complying to relevant health and safety legislations
Staff development and target setting as well as HR functions; hiring, managing annual leave, sickness, grievance and disciplinary and weekly PAYE
Working as a self-employed builder I had become capable of all aspects of new build and refurbishments projects and have developed a full understanding of project milestones.
