• Commissioned as Quantity Surveyor by Select Group to assist in commercial and contract administration of the ongoing projects. Responsibilities includes administering of construction contract, review and updating of projects construction budget, review and updating of cash flow, review of contractors claims entitlement under construction contract, contractual interpretation of contract, drafting of notices and letter, review and preparing of contractor/sub-contractors payment application and variation orders, valuing change, review of PC rate and Provisional Sum adjustment, preparing and agreeing of final account with contractor/sub-contractor and maximizing the value of money to the client.

• Seconded as Quantity Surveyor in a 5 star hotel under construction. Responsibilities includes preparing of monthly cost report, cash flow forecast, tender analysis, cost comparison, valuing of variation, value engineering, review and prepares contractor’s interim payment.
• Attends Field Survey to monitor work progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and actual site measurement.
• Analyze survey reports, drawing, and other topographical data for quantity verification.
• Attends Monthly Joint Survey to verify actual monthly work progress for Civil and Marine works.
• Review checks Sub-Contractors monthly progress quantity and verify quantities for interim progress payment. Ensure that claimed quantities are as per contract agreement.
• Submission of Interim Quantity to Clients and assist them in their queries and verification.
• Resolution of quantity related disputes and provides additional substantiation to quantity claims.
• Review and verify Estimated Quantities and related documents.
• Review Sub-Contractors document for all work completed.
• Certify and verify Subcontractor final quantities.

• Issuing Daily and Weekly Progress Report for Fixed Rate Works to the Client.
• Prepare take-off quantities of fixed rate works from approved construction drawings.
• Verify quantities of Fixed Rate Works for Civil and Marine Works. (Excavation, Site Grading, Concrete, Breakwater and Dredging)
• Responsible for all Marine works related quantities and quantity related issues.
• Review and verify documents/ quantities for completed areas.
• Execution and implementation of 3D Model Software (Bentley Power Civil for Middle East) related software.
• Verify fixed rate works using 3D Model software (Bentley Power Civil Middle East
• Assist the managers with all his following duties as directed by him.
• Thoroughly review Contract Documents and clearly define scope of Project and develop BOQ/BOM.
• Develop alternative technical proposals as and where required
• Prepare Technical submittals as per Bid/Tender requirement
• Coordination with the supplier for the prices of materials
• Responsible for all shop drawings, method statement and all documents necessary prior for the commencement of the project
• Responsible for estimating of all quantities needed for the entire project duration.
• Monthly site visit and preparing of all necessary measurements needed prior for the invoicing of work executed. Responsible for invoicing of work executed monthly
• Coordinating with the contractor's site engineers/quantity surveyor for the approval of the invoice.
• Preparing of monthly progress report to the line manager.
• Inspects structural works (sub-structure and super structure) prior to concrete pouring
• Responsible to assure that all structural related works are conforming to the approved shop drawings and specifications.
• Ensures the quality of concrete prior concrete pouring and secure concrete samples for concrete cube testing
• Undertake and give comments on Contractor's requests for inspection of various Finishing works. (Plaster, paint, tiling, aluminum, timber, metal etc and all related site activities).
• Undertake MIR inspections for various finishing materials delivered to the site and ensure compliance with the given approval. Prepare the Field Observation for any defective and/or inferior quality works observed at site and report to the senior Engineer. Undertake daily surveillance of the site works to ensure contractor is progressing works in compliance with the given approvals, contract specifications and drawings. Witness as necessary any QA
