To co-ordinate with the other departments in obtaining work permit to ensure that the job at the site is carried out in
compliance with all safety rules and precautions.
• Plan and establish preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Participating in energy saving studies and implementing the recommendations promptly in appropriate way.
• Ensuring maximum availability of equipment with minimum downtime and Prepare Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF),
investigate and prevent recurring problems.
• Capture lessons learned and best practices related to electrical and safety aspects.
• Initiating procurement of spares and ensuring availability of critical and non-critical spares.
• Evaluating the technical bidders in getting the appropriate material.
• Review and comment on the electrical aspects of all engineering projects undertaken in assigned field.
• Participate in commissioning, start-up & handover activities and recording comments on the maintainability of new plant and
equipment.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner to maximize plant availability and meet
production targets.
• Training subordinates and new graduate trainees by assessing their skills on regular basis.
• Thorough understanding of Electrical and control schematic drawings, Process Flow Diagrams, etc.
• Performing detailed FAT & SAT for new electrical equipment.
• Excellent communication skills.

• 6.6KV Alternators of Gas Turbine Generators up to 5MW.
• Low Voltage Power Control Centers & Motor Control Centers.
• Low Voltage Squirrel cage motors up to 900KW
• ABB make ACS-550, ACS-600, ACS- 800, ACS-850 & ACS-880, and WEG, SEW, DANFOSS make Variable Frequency Drives.

• Planning required for modification of Electrical System to achieve production quality and cost minimizing.
• Monitoring & optimizing the manpower utilization at various activities in the plant.
• Set the KPIs for the section.
