I have been working with Bank of America for nearly a decade now. Till date, I had an organic growth in my career - from
started as a Technology Team Leader and now in-charge of core Global Payments Platforms and associated Reporting lines.
In this role of Head ofTechnology, I am directly (and hands-on) leading the evolution and running of a best-in-class Payment
transaction Processing core platforms for the development, running and continuity of the Global Wholesale Banking (GWB)
portfolio in Bank of America (ranging from Mainframe, non-mainframe and vendor-based products). I am directly
accountable to ensure scalability, performance and resilience of the platforms, including adequate backups, disaster
recovery, capacity management, cost reduction, optimization etc, and ensuring the processes to respond to and resolve to
incidents are defined and resourced 24x7 given the nature of a global Payments platform.
I am working collaboratively with multiple technology teams, to build a Payment Operational Data Store using AWS Cloud
technology to consolidate data from various onsite and regional databases into this Global Data Store (GDS) for real / near-
real time data access for consuming applications and to minimize workload on Transactional / Operational source systems.
I am responsible to ensure that the technologies employed across cloud environments including security, DevOps, and data
engineering are correctly operated through a mixture of in-house and third-party teams and services, to provide a resilient,
secure, and highly available platform for our products and services to run on, and that the overall strategy for platform
delivery is defined, approved, and implemented.
I am managing a globally distributed team of 70 people (ranging from Managers to Managers of Managers). A sample of
my selected responsibilities:
• Direct communication with CxO to translate complex and technical solutions and challenges in precise but easy to
understand manner.
• To establish, deliver, and refine a data platform engineering roadmap to ensure that all platforms and products remain
current, deliver value to product engineering teams, and supports the needs of internal stakeholders in terms of
scalability, resilience, security, capacity, and operational maintenance.
• Define a technology roadmap that includes deliverables focused on the continued improvement of the supported
solutions, and empowering a Data driven and DevOps culture through the use of automated platform capabilities
underpinning customer-focused product engineering and development.
• Created tools and automated workflow capabilities to enable our software engineers to test and promote code across
the different environments and into production with maximum velocity.

• In collaboration with Product Engineering, and colleagues in Service Management and Operations, work to reduce or
eliminate manual or repetitive tasks, improving the end-to-end health and performance of the underlying platforms.
• Conceptualized and implemented technology strategies to support Payment Operational Data Management, Data
Warehousing, Customer Master Data Management, and Business Intelligence that improved operational efficiency,
enhanced visibility for effective decision making, and targeted business growth.
• Defined and executed Departmental roadmap for multi-year IT transformation program for data strategy and
consolidation for operational efficiency, minimized data redundancy and enhanced data quality by defining and
implementing data governance standards & Operational policies framework.
• Consolidation of data from various onsite and regional databases into a Global Data Store (GDS) for real-time/near-
real-time data access for consuming applications and to minimize workload on Operational source systems.

I was deployed in Boots via Steria consulting. In this Lead Consultant role, I was directly responsible to lead the migration
of the Boots core technology platforms from Mainframe to SAP.
This was a very hands-on role where I was client-facing & lead the gathering of clear business requirements, Impact
Assessments and quality delivery of Project Roadmaps. I led a team of 20+ people who were based in UK and India. A
sample of my selected responsibilities:
• Provided overall program management, including project planning and approach
• Managed data delivery team and coordinates the united effort
• Coordinated data construction design and development efforts, both web application and manual methods
• Understood and analysed business, functional, technical and user interface requirements of the project and prepared
development and testing strategy accordingly.
• Prepared & implemented solutions by determining and designing system specifications, and efficiently maintaining
customer satisfaction, client calls and project delivery on time.
• Successfully supported and enhanced various modules of Supply chain management for the client on their in-house
applications to facilitate management of various export documents/reports including commercial invoice.
• Acted as a central coordination point for various activities in team and provided technical assistance to them along
with coordinating post-release activities with them.

As a hands-on programmer, I had prepared and reviewed Low Level Design, Program Specifications, Test Specifications and
supporting onsite peers in testing phases (SIT, UAT).
Applications and Projects
• 2FA Project
DBS Bank introduced 2FA (Dual Factor-Authentication) to improve the security login mechanism at the login stage
of the sign-on process. Customer needed to input PIN (1st factor) followed by token OTP (2nd factor), which is a
two-factor authentication to login DBS Internet banking.

Post 2003 recession, I started my career with Syntel, where I first learned and supported Mainframe application in Health
Domain. With 30 other freshers in the training from all over the country, I achieved first place with huge margins and got
deployed straight into the project of MMIS for the State of Nevada.
