 Directing and coordinating the activities of export/import, overseeing the
delivery of shipments from vendor’s origin to warehouse by deploying most efficient transport mode and by utilizing established frame agreements with service providers at the balance of cost and time.
 Collecting and collating all data related to imports shipments by air & sea, verifying and confirming all documents as per the UAE Customs & Dubai municipality regulations
 Assisting the Emirates Airline In-flight catering division on the various formalities, documents and procedures involved with movement of
shipments from and to different locations within required timeframe.
 Arranging the shipment/freight forwarder based on best rate and transit time, performing market research and analysis for best available freight
forwarder /airlines/transport mode.
 Handling negotiations pertaining to payment terms /free time and POD, contracts and agreements, insurance and claims.
 Tracking the upcoming shipments and arranging all necessary clearance formalities based on priority.
 Arranging the clearance through Dubai custom’s portal services, preparing
weekly and monthly reports for upcoming shipments, shipments under clearance, clearance charges etc.
 Coordinating with overseas partners to set the procedures for customer
prior dispatching the goods.
 Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels for customers and initiate action to replenish stocks by appropriate transportation methods to avoid
nil stock situations.
 Arranging various Municipality approvals online for Food items registration, Food import/re-export requests, product label assessment and permits for waste destruction etc.
 Assisting in induction and training of new members in the team.

CUSTOMER SERVICE/OPERATION EXECUTIVE في EMPIRE SHIPPING SERVICES

 Implementing branch procedures, methods and documentation, processing orders in the system for both import and export traffic directions, providing required freight documentation as required for consignments.
 Monitoring consignment status and providing alerts in case of changes, following up on release process, and liaising with customers to ensure customer expectations are achieved.
 Verified shipping documents and process Export Declaration/Import for Re-Export/Statistical export/Transshipment Bill of Entries through Dubai Trade.
 Prioritized shipments based on exigency keeping in mind the nature of goods (perishables and non-perishables) as well as being attentive to transit times and documents submission deadlines thereby arranging clearanceaccordingly.
 Ensured clear visibility of shipment arrival dates by regular monitoring, and communicated any delays to all
concerned parties as well as to internal departments.
 Intimated forwarders as well as liaising with the insurance providers regarding any claims of damaged shipments and follow up further for the required compensation.
 Advised clients, company accounts and overseas agents of ongoing status of consignments on a daily basis in addition to managing customer filing and documentation.
 Handled sales leads, routing confirmations, status reports and rate requests, preparing reports and metrics on bookings, volumes, revenue and customer ranking.
