 Review of engineering inputs and MRP.
 Sourcing (RFQ, technical, quality and commercials negotiations, comparative statements, terms and conditions agreements, development plan with FAI commitment, pre series delivery agreements, PO placement).
 Establish frame contracts in line with the project (may take view from PM) for functional and critical components, example mirrors, door systems, door locks, vacuum systems, high value critical fabrication parts etc.
 Provide development support to supplier and liaison between supplier and engineering for any deviations.
 Track the development plan and expedite the supplier.
 Establish a Type test plan for critical components development in line with project requirements.
 Update the status and ETA dates in MRP.
 Update the preferred supplier and price in MIS.
 Update the terms and conditions in PO to include the need for raw materials list.
 Track the quality document for FAI.
 Decides whether an FAI is required or not for each individual part. Refer to FAI process document for more details. Liaison with IQC till successful acceptance of FAI parts.
 If FAI required ­ conducts FAI or co coordinates with the concerned BFG engineer at site for the FAI. Communicate actions post FAI to the supplier.
 Negotiations and MOQ / Supplier not responding issues from procurement on a case to case basis
 Bids pricing and supporting global sites on sourcing and development as and when requested.
 During / immediately after the ECR meeting, formally inform the PM/ Engg / Planning implication of the ECR
 Cost and lead time for implementation from the regular supplier.
 Highlight to the PM if there if a risk is foreseen between FAI / initial deliveries and schedules
 Stock in hand and in transit of the existing revision

 Production Planning Scheduling and to have control over the project.
 Verification of Purchase Order and Requisitions.
 Assist in overseeing the fiscal discipline particularly through best practice in MATERIAL MANAGEMENT
 Review Purchase order and ensure that the Suppliers deliver the Product on time as per purchase order.
 Sourcing Suppliers for procurement of raw materials, engineering services.
 Tracking Material delivery.
 Issue daily tasks to workshop staff and ensure that the tasks are completed in timely.
 Ensure that job cards are completed accurately and properly dispatched.
 Accurate completion of job cards/job work challan.
 Issue of RAW MATERIAL as per heat number for the process.
 Monitors raw material stock.
 Ensure that stock received is checked against delivery note, invoice and original order form.
 Return any stock that is sub standard.
 Participate in cross functional teams involving the suppliers to perform technical discussion of the project and report to manager.

 Oversee and monitor progress on all work within the department to delivery timescales.
 Review manufacturing methods and agree improvements with Production Engineering.
 Improve the levels of in-process and first-off inspection and thereby reduce the level of rework and the amount of scrap caused through production errors.
 Ensure all manufacturing is completed to the correct revision of drawing/route card and work instructions
 Issue of RAW MATERIAL as per heat number for the process.
 Preparing Process sheet for sheet metal parts.
Ensure that job cards are completed accurately and properly dispatched.
