• My current job since January 2018

My function is to manage the full plant as the plant operator under a 20 year operations and maintenance contract of the 200 Mega liter per day, sea water desalination plant in Oman. This position is a secondment position from the parent company located in Singapore. This position includes but is not limited to:
• Responsibility for all in country Omani Water authority liaison
• Full daily operational, production and plant performance / membrane health monitoring
• chairman of the EHS steering committee
• production, quality control, maintenance
• fully computerized asset management system.
• setting up and managing health and safety management system in compliance to OHSAS 18001 standards (and new ISO 45001 standard) .
• risk management.
• Failure investigations, analysis and faultfinding
• Project management of all plant modifications & improvements
• Budget generation and cot control.
• Detailed control of reagents consumption
• Procurement and negotiations with suppliers and contractors.
• Full management function of all operational and maintenance staff including disciplinary hearings and interviews as well as organogram changes
• Control over all Hyflux Water services expenditure, purchase orders & invoices using a computerized material management system
• the initial setup of the Computerised Maintenance management and material management systems.
• Generation of daily production reports, production certificates and client invoicing
• presentation of a monthly, plant health, production, maintenance and cost presentation to our client and top company management.
• Control system functional specification changes for control system fault restoration and process optimization.
• Full responsibility of all process changes to the fully automated plant.
• continuous improvement efforts/projects.
• Process faultfinding and process optimization
• legal compliance to all Omani laws and permits
• Ensure full compliance to the Operational and Maintenance Contract and our client and plant owner’s water purchase agreement.
• Development of site operational and maintenance strategy.
• RO cleaning including selection of cleaning solutions to be used.
• Development and staff training
• Staff performance contracting and evaluations.
• Assisting the EPC contractor
