Green Fuel (www.greenfuel.co.zw) is the leading supplier of ethanol fuel for blending primarily from sugarcane. Located In the Lowveld it has one of the largest agro-estate and a huge fleet of specialized agricultural and industrial diesel vehicles. I was responsible for maintaining, diagnosis and repair of the diesel engines of the company under the tutorship and supervision of the Senior Mechanic. Fleet included: Caterpillar (CAT), CAT 12M, Cat 120 M, Cat 140 H Global, CAT 390 FL, Cat 347 FL, Cat 349 EL, CAT 777, CAT 773 Komatsu: GD 555-5 type, Gd663A-2 type, WA800-3EO type, WA900-3EO, WA500-6R, HD325-7R, 930E-4*2, 960E-2*2, Tractors: Case IH-Steiger 500, Mugnum 310, Puma 225, Puma 140, New Holland-TS 90, John Deere-6145J
Performed daily trackless machine services ensuring adequate safety measures are applied while carrying out normal daily duties such as dismantling, reassembling and commissioning of new equipment.
Attended to faulty hydraulic systems on earthmoving equipment as per standard procedure and assisted other artisans with problem solving on hydraulic and electrical systems .
Performed component changes to earthmoving equipment such as changing loader buckets, brake heads, Tyres, hydraulic cylinders, transmission/ gearboxes, differentials and cradles according to set out standards
Applied new technology in advanced diagnostics and repair during routine diagnostics and corrective action s. Received and acted on supervisors instructions and carried out repairs and maintenance work to equipment .
Identified maintenance work to be done from work orders as well as ordering of parts to ensure swift job action.
Carried suspension inspection and overhauling of transmission and assisted in performing calibrations
Maintained tractors as well as overhauling systems and hydraulics and attending breakdowns, field service and repairs
Inspected and booked machinery for service as well as providing job card records.
Carried out fault diagnosis using fault diagnosis machines such as Electronic Service Toolkit
Performed daily routine checks of belts, lights and leaks including hydraulic components inspection and assembling.
