Creative Director at SILK SASS ENTERPRISES LIMITED
  • Kenya
  • January 2014 to June 2018

1. Sitting in the board of directors; formulating the Vision and Mission of the company therefore offering directorship of the company as a business development manager.

2. Setting up of new outlets; this entailed initial identification of new office spaces, contracting construction contractors and managing the projects; this greatly contributed to the expansion of the company and increased its presence in the market.

3. Participated in the change of the company line of trade from a “Cloth-line” to a Creative graphic design and Branding Company. This was due to the diminishing market for the products. It also meant that the company remained afloat even with the fall of business in Kenya in the heightened general elections campaigns.

4. Procuring merchandise and raw materials locally and internationally; this entailed regular travel to identify and purchase cost effective raw materials and products that saved the company over-expenditure on the same.

5. Creative set up of displays in the business for systematic merchandising of products and samples.

6. Formulation of creative designs and artworks for various clientele needs; this entailed the close liaison with the head company graphic designer; this inspired me to also take a course in graphics and became a resourceful contributor to the company’s creative design department, raising the revenues for the company.
General overseer of delivery of customer orders; which meant close quality control checks, packaging and timely deliveries increasing the competitive edge of the company.
