Project Title : Investigation of Acoustic Propagation in the Presence of Internal Waves across Shallow
Waters of Northern Bay of Bengal

speed, etc.)

+ Experienced in making high resolution Ocean Maps by processing and displaying xy & xyz data
sets using Generic Mapping Tools/GMT.
+ Measurement of Conductivity, Temperature & Pressure of sea water by mooring & profiling the
CTD and thus estimating the Depth, Salinity, Sound velocity, Density etc from the measured
parameters.
+ Study of Sound speed profile (SSP) variations with depth, bathymetry, sea bottom type and other
environmental parameters of the experiment locations.
+ Impedance analysis on Piezo ceramic discs using Dielectric Resonance Spectroscopy (DRS).
+ Ambient Noise Measurements along the Eastern coast of India. Instruments used: CTD, Hydrophones,
