Leader of the Commercial Team responsible for pre and post award commercial, contractual and procurement Management for the roll out of FTTP/FTTH Services. My responsibilities include:
• Effective execution of contracts and the commercial management of related suppliers
• The tendering, and awarding of construction contracts including specialist commercial support and guidance
• Commercial management of the project lifecycle, from pre-contract to successful contract close-out
• Set up and Admin of Contracts on CEMAR Including GCs, Early Warnings, Compensation Events & Payments.
• Assessing contractors Applications for Payment in line with agreed payment calendar. Carrying out monthly Financial Reports and reporting on budget movements on individual contracts.
• Delivering guidance on commercial aspects ensuring sound governance and practice, and acting as the channel for the sharing knowledge and best practice. Resolves issues with contracts and commercial operations
• Overseeing the performance delivery through Cost/change/claims control and project management
• Reporting, tendering, payment application management, variations, negotiation and contract close-out

Key Member of the specialized Project Management Off. (PMO) Team of the signature $7.9 Billion Riyadh Metro Package 3 Project. PMO provides expert executive Project Management Services and exclusive high level advisory to the Project Leadership overseeing the overall delivery of the Riyadh Metro Package 3 project. This includes:
• Ensuring that the overall objectives/strategies of the Consortium (Civils, Track works & Transit Systems) are aligned, coordinated and in accordance with Contractual Requirements
• Commercial Management including Project Controls, Change Management, Planning/Schedule, Payment, Cost, Risk and Reporting.
• Interface/Stakeholder, Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Document/Information Management.
• Management and Control of all Contractual Deliverables and submittals including: Management plans, Periodic/progress/KPI reporting, Change Notice/Order proposals, Contractual correspondences etc
• Contract Interpretation, Management, Administration and Execution

I contributed to the delivery of Crossrail (the largest infrastructure project in Europe) as part of the delivery partner/project management team responsible the design, procurement and construction of the Works to stringent functional, technical, time; commercial, cost, contractual, safety, quality and environmental requirements. Crossrail is a new £14.9 billion east-west railway linking Maidenhead and Heathrow via tunnels under Central London to Shenfield and Abbey Wood scheduled for opening in 2019

Project and technical management for delivery of a new train station. This included top down construction, piling, diaphragm walls, micro-tunnelling and ground Investigation.

I headed the team undertaking the design, procurement and construction of civil infrastructure works including retaining walls, strengthened earth structures, pumping stations, caisson shafts, utilities, concrete structures, roads, coffer dams and river walls. I delivered the project on time and under budget was responsible for:
• Commercial management involving procurement (subcontractors/plant/Materials), contract administration, cost/budget control, variation orders, claims, cost substantiations, interim payments and final account.
• Construction Management including labour/plant resources, progress, logistics, health, safety and quality control
• Preparing detailed works programs including determining which work scope to subcontract or to ‘self-perform’.
• Development of the temporary/permanent works designs to ensure constructability and optimisation
• Providing leadership and supporting development of team of engineers, foremen and administration staff
• Preparation of project documentation e.g. execution plans, method statements, ITPs, RFIs and change proposals
• Interface Management of Olympic Authorities, contractors, Local Authorities, Utility providers and Stakeholders

I was a Project Engineer providing engineering, project management, and construction management at the Signature New Doha International Airport Project in Doha, Qatar. I was part responsible for construction of £400 million site wide utilities project that encompassed; Electrical power distribution, Telecomm Distribution, Potable, irrigation and fire-fighting water distribution, Wastewater collection, a Wastewater treatment plant, and a Central Utility Plant.

In 2007, I was a Project Engineer working on the CTRL (High Speed 1) based at Temple Mills Depot, London. This was a £400m facility built for the maintenance of Eurostar trains with the facilities for berthing, servicing and heavy maintenance. Rail Link Engineering was the Principal Contractor and Designer. I was involved the Civil and Building works involved construction of the Main Depot, Offices, Stores, Bogie Drop, ancillary buildings, Access roads, troughing, track laying, drainage, landscaping and other associated services.

In 2006, I was a field Coordinator on the Vivatel project in Sofia, Bulgaria. We were contracted to perform Project Management Services on a 750 telecommunications cell site deployment project.
This effort was based on the experience I had obtained having held similar responsibilities on the Cingular telecommunications project based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Here we had entered into a Master Contractor Agreement to manage the expansion and upgrading of Cingular's national wireless network. As such, I prepared sites for integration and 3G upgrade.

While based in Newbury, UK I was a Field Coordinator on the IVOR project. The objective of this project was to deliver and optimise Vodafone’s telecommunications networks. The first Work Package was to extend Vodafone’s network to cover 19 rail routes across the UK. I was responsible for the design, build and commissioning of base station sites in accordance with requirements.
