Competencies
• Contract/Commercial Management including implementation of management strategies, plans, policies and procedures as well as preparation of Management Reports and contract/commercial registers
• Management of key issues/risks, contractual correspondences (Letters, Notices, Early Warnings, Contract Deliverables), day to day contract Administration, interpretation and contract/legal/commercial support to the Directors and other departments.
• Preparation of Extension of time requests and delay/disruption Claims including descriptive narratives, supporting documentation/evidences, interface with external claims consultants and responses to queries/negotiations.
• Arbitration and Alternative forms Dispute Resolution (DABs, DRB, Adjudication). Administration of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) /Independent Expert Proceedings
• Change Management including the assessment (Scope/Schedule/Cost) and negotiation of instructions/variations
• Preparation of Advance/Interim Payment Applications, negotiations, valuations and cost substantiations
• Project Controls including Cost/Earned Value, Forecasts, Trend analysis, Programme/Schedule, Performance KPI
• Procurement and management of subcontractors including Programming, Interim payments/Cash Flow, Cost Value Reconciliations and analysis, Negotiation and Settlement of Final Account (closure of contract).
• Proficient use of FIDIC, NEC and JCT Contract Forms
• Pre-Award activities such as preparation/review of Tender Documentation, Employer’s Requirements, Identification of Commercial Opportunities and Risks, Contract negotiations
• Supervision of contractors' activities including scope, progress (planned vs. actual), forecasts, performance, work verification/valuations, interfaces and use of resources (labour, plant and subcontractors)
• Resolution of technical, commercial (cost, schedule, risk & contractual) issues affecting project performance,
• Preparation & update of Management plans and implementation of industry best practice & lessons learned
• Mentoring, supervision and professional development of the multidisciplinary teams
• Construction Management including labour/plant resources, progress, logistics, health, safety and quality control
• Design management including engineering reviews, value engineering, constructability and design assurance
• Preparing detailed works programs including determining which work scope to subcontract or to ‘self-perform’
Key Member of the specialized Project Management Off. (PMO) Team of the signature $7.9 Billion Riyadh Metro Package 3 Project. PMO provides expert executive Project Management Services and exclusive high level advisory to the Project Leadership overseeing the overall delivery of the Riyadh Metro Package 3 project. This includes:
• Ensuring that the overall objectives/strategies of the Consortium (Civils, Track works & Transit Systems) are aligned, coordinated and in accordance with Contractual Requirements
• Commercial Management including Project Controls, Change Management, Planning/Schedule, Payment, Cost, Risk and Reporting.
• Interface/Stakeholder, Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Document/Information Management.
• Management and Control of all Contractual Deliverables and submittals including: Management plans, Periodic/progress/KPI reporting, Change Notice/Order proposals, Contractual correspondences etc
• Contract Interpretation, Management, Administration and Execution
