As a senior officer, i have performed the following functions;
1. Strategic planning and management
2. Livestock disease control, prevention and reporting
3. Drawing of annual workplans and budgets
4. Drawing of investment plans for the institution.
5. Coordination of livestock stakeholders in
multi-sectoral platforms.
6.Training of farmers, Community based animal health
workers
During my time at the Local Government, i carried out the following functions
1. Preparing strategic investment plans for the District
2. Preparing Annual workplans and budgets.
3. Coordination of marketing groups and associations.
4. Building capacity of Farmer groups, Associations and
marketing groups.
5. Drawing of livestock Master Plans for Karamoja Sub-
region.
6. Supervision of staff and marketing groups
During my term of office i carried out the following tasks;
1. Disease control and prevention in livestock
2. Advisory services provision to farmers
3. Strategic planning for the livestock sector
4. Annual budgeting and planning
5. Livestock disease reporting
6. Technical supervision for farmers froups and
marketing groups.
As a veterinarian i carried out the following tasks;
1. Livestock diseases treatment and management
2. Farmer training and supervision
3. Livestock Planning and development
4. Farm management training
5. Disease reporting
During my study, i majored in the following subjects; 1. International marketing 2. Market Intelligence and research 3. Strategic planning and Business management 4. Preparing financial forecasts I have been able to utilise my expertise in the following areas; 1. Prepare cash flow statements and make financial forecasting for SMEs 2. Prepare market value chains for various products for farmers and dealers 3. Contributed in drawing the design of an agricultural marketing policy for Uganda. 4. Building capacity of marketing agents, distributors, 5. Prepare market information flow channels at the local government level
