As Manager ICT under the overall guidance of the Chief Executive I am strategically and operationally accountable for the company’s ICT and the delivery of the company’s agreed outcomes, targets and objectives as determined through the corporate plan.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provision of effective strategic direction, leadership and governance of all aspects of ICT to the organisation’s corporate management team and members, enabling the effective delivery of the corporate plan objectives and business plans.
• Lead the development and delivery of the company’s ICT strategies and governance arrangements to ensure resources invested in ICT provide improvements to services and value for money.
• The overall operational management of all ICT resources that are required to plan for, develop and deliver professional and efficient ICT support to the organisation, including the management of change and the maintenance of technical standards.
• Provision of direction and guidance on all technical aspects of the development of, and modifications to information systems to ensure that they take account of relevant IS technical strategies, policies, standards and practices and that they are compatible with existing and planned information systems and IS infrastructure.
• Business continuity planning. This includes the identification of information systems which support critical business processes, the assessment of risks to those systems’ availability, integrity and confidentiality and the coordination of planning, designing, testing and maintenance procedures and contingency plans to address exposures and maintain agreed levels of continuity.
• Manage the infostructure, i.e. the functionalities, workstations, integration features, technologies’ capabilities and user rights, all required for the establishment of a clear inventory of the company’s technological resources.
• Manage performance, including both technical and business performance, so as to enable the company to make valuable use of its technological resources.
• Manage the development, including infostructure development, software and hardware upgrade, as well as power-user development, to secure the company’s sustainable competitiveness.
• Provide technical leadership, vision, direction, mentoring, and manage the team which designs, develops, and supports CRM/BSS applications to meet business requirements.
• Deliver product and feature roadmaps and provide overall leadership and day to day management for the software development team
• Building and managing software development teams and overseeing the development processes using industry best practices.
• Technical Lead in the development of custom applications using system development tools like MS visual basic, MS SQL, .NET, Java, PHP and other Web Technologies(REST/SOAP/SOA/XML/HTML). Including integration of software products into existing software environments. This also includes development of technical documentation.
• Manage ICT costs, i.e. capital, standing and running costs, to control the costs of technologies and enable return on ICT investments.
• Review Company IT requirements and make necessary recommendations to management.
• To manage IT Vendor relationships so as to ensure the company obtains full benefit from all contracts.
• Regularly assess employee-training needs with respect to IT systems and make necessary recommendations to Human Resources.
• Review existing IT policies and procedures and make improvements and ensures adherence to the same.

I was heading the Billing section and responsible for the administration of commercial, technical, and financial systems of the company

My main duties and accountabilities included the following;


• Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2008/12 Network Infrastructure.
• Management of the CCTV and access control system integrated with the payroll
• Implementing and Managing Microsoft Exchange Server 2003

• Supervise/Execute the monthly Billing cycle and production of customer statements.

• Development and maintenance of policies for information technology users and staff to ensure proper and efficient use of the organization’s IT assets.

• Design, maintenance and monitoring of local and wide area network utilizing Microsoft and Cisco technologies.

• Development of custom applications using system development tools like Microsoft visual basic, .NET, Java, and Oracle. Including integration of software products into existing software environments. This also includes development of technical documentation.

• Trouble shooting of hardware and software installations involving installation or removal of hardware or software, according to plans, instructions and agreed standards. The testing of hardware and software components affected, resolving malfunctions and recording results.

• Maintaining inventory on network server, desktops, laptops, printers and all hardware accessories.

• Provision of help desk services. This involves the receipt of problems reported by users, and the coordination of rapid and appropriate responses.
