ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Identifying hazards by Conducting Site Inspections and participating in walk-throughs.
•Risk Assessment, Permit-To-Work: To ensure compliance with HSE Standards, Risk assessment
•Safe Work Procedures: Development and monitoring of compliance of safe work procedures E.g. Atmospheric Testing before Entry in to Confined Spaces, Safe use of Scaffolds and Ladders, Mechanical Isolation, Safe Work Permit System etc.
•Safety Training: Development of training modules on various safety topics, Classroom training to workers, supervisors and managers (using latest available training aids), On-the-job safety talks (toolbox talks).
•Monitoring of Work Practices/Conditions: To carry out safety inspections, Internal safety procedural audits, Safe/at risk observations. Ensuring implementation of Risk Assessment recommendations.
•Supervision of junior safety officers: coverage and inspection program on weekly or monthly basis Ensuring that only Inspected and Certified plants and Equipment (i.e. Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic tools and Equipment) are in use at site
•Accident Investigation: To investigate accidents including near miss and first aid cases to suggest management remedial measures to avoid recurrence.
•HSE Documentation: To develop various safety documents like Safety Report, On Site Emergency Plan, HSE Plan as per Client and Company HSE Policy requirements, Company Safety Standards, etc.
•Safety Motivational Activities: To organize safety competitions, Safety quiz etc.
•Safety Statistics: To calculate and maintain safety statistics like Injury Frequency Rate, Severity Rate, Longest Accident Free Period etc.
