With an annual sales turnover of SAR 200 Million, the mega farm is located in Busaita Region in Al Jouf with a total area of 60, 000 hectares. I am responsible for P&L of the project including all day-to-day operations of 1, 100 employees. I used my managerial skills to train, develop, and rally the team to deliver agreed objectives for shareholders. My sales team promoted and sold other product such as fruits and olives in addition to hay feed. All-year-round, we are one of very few major animal feed suppliers in the Kingdom and GCC. Working with SABIC Research to develop and test new fertilizers for Alfalfa, wheat, potatoes, and onion crops.

1. Implemented a successful turn-around program with strict machineries maintenance program, economized crops chemicals, and overhauled outdated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as better personnel management resulting in an impressive 10% reduction in operational cost and a significant boost to revenue bottom-line figures
2. Increase storage capacity (both cold and ambient) to enable us manage seasonality better for higher sell-out prices.
3. In animal feed sector, achieved 20% increase in Alfalfa Fodder Products through expanding production capacity and expand market share
4. Using my excellent relationships in the market, I have worked closely with my technical team to produce certified planting potatoes seeds locally after ensuring demand by key customers. This has not only guaranteed business but also directly translated into 10% reduction in direct cost.
5. As a result of my market research, my Mega Farm has expanded fruits planted area by 10% (mostly apricot) which met market demand.
6. Supervised by being the single point of contact for the new drip irrigation system by a third-party resulting in a timely completion of the project.
7. Fine-tuned old planning process to maximize on other Agriculture products such as Field crops, wheat, barley, alfalfa fodder, and olive. In two years only, we have improved overall yield by 4% with varying levels of cost reductions due to doing things better, faster, and more efficiently
8. As business development, tested a new dairy product line for regional market called Al-Safwa Dairies milk supply, GT Packaging, above-below the line marketing and distribution into regional markets with some success due to economies of scale by competitors.
9. Also, as business development, I have done numerous experimentations on new product range to become the first in the GCC to do so such as: sugar beets that yielded high sugar contents and yields.
10. Simply put, during my years with Al-Jouf, the company was more profitable than ever before and relied on more income steams through a well-planned business diversification strategy.

Almarai is the leading food processing company in the Middle East. Almarai Feed Sector is a state of the art operation (located in Hail Region, Saudi Arabia) with an annual turnover of SAR 350 Million that was developed originally to satisfy company diary farms feed requirements. Al Kabir Farm produced the following forages: Alfalfa, Rhodes Grass, Sudan Grass, and Maize. This mega project also produced Wheat and Barley Crops using center pivot irrigation systems. The focus area was always on producing high quality Grade-A milking cow hay for company diary herd. Attention to quality and consistency in product specifications was always second to none at Almarai.

1. Designed and applied a successful IPM (Integrated Pest Management) System that is still being used today designed to control and minimize the costly summer alfalfa caterpillar attacks.
2. To develop the fertilizer range further, we have worked with American and British Universities soil and crops nutrients to advance the most suitable fertilizer and agrochemical program for the highest yielding hay crops.
3. Consistently achieved certified Grade-A feed with weed-free with less than 14% moisture content, ADF (Acid Detergent Fiber) lab analysis of 32, and a Crude protein content of 22% resulting in the most premium hay in the GCC Market.
4. Setup a successful and even more efficient irrigation monitoring and scheduling program to minimize excessive irrigation which stresses roots
5. A state of art weeds monitoring program was implemented covering pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicides treatment program
6. Expanded Grade-A production and operation from 14% to 74% of the farm area with typical upsizing operation teething issues. The result was a much more efficient and streamlined operation.
7. Achieved a 60.45% yield increase (from 8.67 to 21.92 tons per hectare) of Grade-A Alfalfa hay
8. Achieved a 26.4% wheat yield increase (6.64 tons to 9.02 tons per hectare).
9. Achieved a 35.8% Maize yield increase (8.26 tons to 12.86 tons per hectare).
10. Using my technical skillset and my feed market knowledge, I have conducted a detailed market research for Almarai covering the Western Region to identify sales leads and new opportunities
11. Knowledgeable about Almarai’s major distributers and partners including selling network in Saudi Arabia with the full logistics involved.
12. Explored Jordan as a potential market for Alfalfa feed exports by Almarai
13. Participated in the initial feasibility study for Almarai feed production in Argentine
