My experience is spanning from managing and controlling heavy duty cargo trucks, rigid and articulated double trailer and tankers consists of 100 of vehicles fleet, managing transport, maintenance, office staff, and procurement and supervise movement of goods, containers, fuel and JETA1.
My main mandate was to provide high level of service to both the organization and the beneficiaries with minimum unit cost and maintain clear demarcations and responsibilities. Carry out any activity with fully and transparency documentations.
My end goals in all activities are lower cost, higher quality, more flexibility and faster response time.
Identifying Logistics performance indicators such as responsiveness, reliability and relationships is an important task.
In contracting a third party all elements of a contract must be clearly defined, assume nothing, what is obvious to me may not be obvious to someone else and the contract should not be open to interpretation, terms and conditions should be clearly defined in order to be aware of what constitutes a conflict of interest .
I also meet with the programme staff in regular bases to identify affected people needs such as shelter, food, water, human resources, infrastructure, financial resources, and collect as much possible necessary information before departure and reports etc.
At last good ethics and conducts are the main requirements as dealing with outside agencies engaged in the selling of goods and services is an activity that is potentially vulnerable to fraud whichis necessary for protection of all parties involved
