Duties and Responsibilities:
* Review of Project Specification, approved drawings and quality control procedures
prior to start construction/erection activities. Review of approved method statement
and understand the requirements and sequence of erection activities.
* Review and verify the calibration validity of all inspection tools and equipment’s (eg.
Inspection tools, Welding Machine, Painting equipment, Compressor, etc.). And
maintain the updated calibration register.
* Verification of welding consumables (properties, type, storage etc.) as per the
approved WPS. Monitor the welding consumable and ensure the proper issue and
return of welding consumables.
* Carryout the material receiving inspection as per the isometric/detail drawing and
specification.
* Monitor and inspect the alignment, orientation, elevations and other check points as
per the approved P& ID, Isometric Drawing and detail drawings.
* Fit-up inspection including material grades, size, schedule, joint configuration as per
approved drawing.
* Witnessing of NDT inspection & Familiar with PT, RT, MPI and UT inspections.
Witnessing those activities whenever it is necessary
* Review of Hydrostatic test package prior to start the hydro test and ensure all required
NDT & inspection activities has been completed.
* Carryout Fit-up Inspection and NDT/Welding Inspection of various structural, tanks and
piping from the early stage of erection.
* Carryout the tank inspection of material receiving, fit-up& lay-up, Peaking, Banding,
Plumbness, Roundness, welding and painting Inspection, Performing and witnessing
the Vacuum box test, Penetrating oil Test and Pneumatic test of RF pads. Check the
foundation receiving inspection & settlement reading, witness the Hydrostatic test of
Tanks.
* Preparing Punch list prior to start hydrostatic test and clear all “A” prior to conduct the
test and witness the Installation inspection of static equipment’s and Tank
Instruments.
* Be pro-active in ensuring effective implementation of non-conformance and deviation
control systems.
