Responsibilities:
• Stabilize, enhance and modernize the corporate IT infrastructure including databases, Storage devices, Linux OS platforms, corporate document management system (ECM) & related Network areas.
• Devising & maintaining the High Availability, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery solutions.
• Recommending datacenter standards for the scope of work assigned to the related areas.
• Setting up the enterprise data standards, data strategy and IT governance policies in alignment with organization objectives.
• Ensuring compliance to quality & organizational standards pertaining day to day operations.
• Maintaining updated processes & documentation to align with specifications and audit requirements.

• Implemented Tech refresh program (Worth more than USD 11 million) to being in leading infra technologies, devised best fault tolerant architectures, optimized cost, time and performance
• Developed infrastructure solution for the Main site of the bank for database, middleware services, SAN storage arrays, enterprise backup software, utilizing best High Availability Techniques (Oracle RAC, HP Service Guard, Veritas Cluster File system, Windows Clustering, Content management load Balancing)
• Designed solution of local Disaster recovery (DR) site, proposed best infrastructure and methods of replications using Oracle DataGaurd and SAN replication
• Managed databases/ projects of database migrations
• Implemented 3 installations of Oracle Golden Gate in the main site with RAC setup and disaster recovery site
• Built business continuity offshore site outside Qatar (London Site) selecting best methods of replicating data over the WAN
• Opted proper HW/software, storage solutions, operations methods and optimized target data structure
• Implemented replication solution with Oracle GoldenGate using compression and real-time options over VPN internet dedicated line,
• Managed the Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) project at the production & Oracle Data-masking security solution for the development environment
• Prepared comprehensive study & POC for integrated Security solution for Oracle Products at the Bank. Utilized Advanced Security option, Oracle Database Vault, Oracle Label security and Virtual Private database (VPD)
• Planned/ implemented migration of critical mission data to high-end enterprise storage array (HP9500 SAN) in the main site
• Set up infrastructure solution of Electronic cheques clearing systems (ECC), Direct Debit payments (QATCH), Qatar payment systems (QPAY), and Secure intranet banking (SIBNET) in Qatar

Responsibilities:
• Managing the team of Databases, Linux OS and storage devices.
• Spearheading the database & storage department plans & strategies.
• Liaising with vendors & suppliers in preparing RFPs/ SLAs, drafting & evaluating proposals.
• Preparing the annual operating and capital Budgets for the department.
• Defining & implementing cost effective, smart, resilience and Secure Infrastructure, Protecting systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources & implementing security improvements by assessing current vulnerabilities.
• Designing the data architecture, data modeling, data integration, data warehousing, built the relational databases as well as managed the data migrations.
• Managing Core Oracle Databases entailing installation, patching, cloning and migrating.
• Managing the setup for real application clusters (RAC) at databases for high availability, and physical standby DataGaurd setup for disaster recovery, & Goldengate setup for Business continuity remote site.
• Designing / maintaining database architecture, data structures, tables, dictionaries and naming conventions for maintaining updated data files
• Managing the backup solution, tape Libraries; and administering the centralized Backup software, conducting preventive maintenance of backups & recovery procedures.
• Lead the Oracle Application Server Administration & Oracle Designer software.
• Lead the Linux Operating System team under platforms (HP-UX/HP-Tru64/ Redhat Linux)
• Maintaining associated servers’ hardware, software for optimizing system integrity, security, backup and performance
• Managing the SAN/ Storage devices (HP-9500/ HP-EVA8xxx/ HP-EVA4400).

Accomplishments:
• Lead the project of System Re-engineering for all the ERP & Banking systems.
• Integrated QCB Clearing System with all third party and external clouds including Banks, Government, Exchange Houses, SWIFT Cloud, etc.
• Successfully achieved the target SLA as team Leader for all Financial modules and RTGS Applications.
Responsibilities:
• Leading the development team for in-house developed application including SWIFT & RTGS payments, financial accounting, budget control, investment & foreign exchange, fixed assets, SCM, Government Security, Local Exchange houses & Cash Issuing Systems
• Developing QCB project plans using project management methodologies, principles and techniques.
• Responsible for data modeling, business process re-engineering and implementing the SDLC model for all applications.
• Deploying the functional solutions by developing, adopting and implementing system test plans with required QA.
• Developing Qatar National ATM and Point of Sales Switch System (NAPS) applications using Oracle forms & reports, Oracle Application server web services and Oracle Designer.
