UNOPS - Sites Engineer 07th of JUN 2023 - 30th of APR 2025 As Construction Management Engineer Under the overall supervision of the Project Manager, Responsible for the progress control & quality control of construction works. Responsible for supervision of all works of the contractor & thereby ensure onsite quality control of construction works. Liaise with technical, procurement colleagues, client & funding representatives as required. Responsibility for overall progress, use of resources & initiating corrective action where necessary. Prepare & review progress reports, Highlighted report and Quarterly report. Review all the technical documents & BOQs. Prepare the variation orders of the contractors if found. Review and approve IPCs with all supporting documents as per the requirements and directions of the PM. Prepare the quality management plan. Prepare the project time schedule. Inspects & report on contractor’s works in progress ensuring that the contractor meets set quality standards. Provides support & guidance to the contractor & assists in resolving site problems, as necessary. Responsible for supervision of technical staff & consultants assigned to the project, the assignment & monitoring of duties during the progress of works. Prepare the monthly timesheet for the retainers. Responsible for preparation of progress reports on construction activities, according to the agreed timeframe of works & submission of such on a weekly basis to the PM. Prepare and rise the monthly receipts accordingly to the actual progress on site. prepare and update the tracking sheets. Assess & report on the project closing plans, archiving of cost, progress report & hand over all related reports to the PM. Evaluates, assess works schedules & programs, including the comparison with the schedule baselines & reports to the PM accordingly. Assess the work activities of contractor(s), measure completed work & make recommendations to the PM for progress payments to the contractor.

Reviewing and approving all materials used as per the required specifications. Ensure providing, reviewing, approving, and documenting all work permits and shop drawings before starting any work. Inspecting and approving all implemented works as per the required specifications and technical rules. WASH Engineer / Assessment Officer

Develop high-level WASH Technical studies, designs bill of quantities as well as future WASH plans.
Support WASH coordinator in developing the strategy of WASH interventions and participate in projects
reports writing.
Acting as WASH team leader and lead the team to implement the WASH activities in a professional and

Ensure all project activities and budget are spent according to plan, budget, timeframe and quality.
