Responsibilities
•Mentor of UAE nationals’ trainees and developed employees by conducting competency assessments (written test, practical test, interview and observation) on monthly or quarterly basis and fill appraisals as required and following as their CBT.
•Discussion & issuing accidents, incidents & near miss reports.
•Conducting HSE talks and emergency simulation procedures
•Conducting for subordinates competency assessments.
•Training & developing operators, new employees & UAE nationals’ trainees.
•Conducting emergency procedures, Task Risk Assessment, and Sour Environment Operations.
•Personally control & coordinate start up, shutdown & emergency operations in proper sequences & at correct in a safely manner to avoid damage to personnel & equipment.
•Direct the startup, shutdown & emergency procedures.
•Supervision the activities of all operation & maintenance personnel
•Conducting daily inspection tours of operating equipment.
•Review laboratory results instruct & follow up the subordinate to adjust & correct the operating conditions.
•Initiation maintenance request for all routine & emergency repairs.
•Issuing all work permits for maintenance jobs & follow up to be done in a safe manner.
•Ensuring compliance by subordinate personnel with safety rules.
•Discussion & issuing accidents, incidents & near miss reports.
•Attendance HSE meetings and Implements and maintains HSE programs.
Achievements:
•Assigned as TAR (turn around) operation supervisor three times on 2008/2012 and 2016.
•Also assigned to follow UNIBON plant for revamping to produce UCO for base oil units (BOU)from 2010 till 2012
•Prepared and reviewed the procedures UNIBON plant hot change over from Recycle to Once through Mode (OTM) and vice versa.
•Contribution on Jan 2016 plant to hot change over to once through mode successfully as per the target.
•Prepared hydrocracker Unibon unit Standard Operation Manual (SOP).
I have chemical engineering diploma from Amman Polytechnic on 1978 .then worked about four years in Jopetrol in plants FCC, VDU then on 1982 got contract with ADNOC, worked in Ruwais refinery as field operator in plants C.D.U, N.H..H.N PLATFORMING, HCK UNIBON,HKHT,GOHT,SRU etc. on 1992 got promotion as senior operator , ON 1996 DCS senior operator . on 2004 promoted as shift supervisor till retirement on Dec 2017.. assigned as TAR operation supervisor three times ON 2008/2012 and 2016. also assigned to follow Unibon plant for revamping to produce UCO for base oil units from 2010 till 2012 and plant on Jan 2016 running mode hot change over to once through mode successfully as per the target.
