• Run the full finance function for the Modern Electronics division a high-volume B2B and retail operation
turning over around SAR 2 billion annually. The team I manage has nine people covering AR, AP, and
general accounting.
• Report to the CFO on financial governance matters and work closely with the COO on commercial
decisions, while also maintaining a reporting line into Group Finance to keep everything aligned with
corporate standards.
• Act as the main finance contact for the Commercial, Operations, and Supply Chain teams getting involved
early in pricing discussions, contract reviews, and revenue recognition questions before they become
problems.
• Led the SAP S/4HANA rollout for the division, covering FI, CO, MM, SD, and HCM modules. We also
integrated BI dashboards and Salesforce alongside it. By the time we went live, data migration and testing
errors had been cut by 50% compared to earlier phases, and the teams manual reporting workload dropped
by around 40%.
• Went through all our internal control procedures, found where the gaps were, and put fixes in place. We
have come out of the last three external and internal audit cycles with no major findings that includes
customs, tax, inventory, and compliance audits.
• Handle all ZATCA obligations for the division: VAT, Zakat, and Transfer Pricing. This gets complicated with
multi-year service contracts and cross-border intercompany transactions, so I stay close to any changes in
GAZT guidance.
• Built out a proper budgeting and rolling forecast process where there wasnt really one before. Senior
leadership now gets monthly variance packs with commentary rather than just numbers.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS and manage the year-end process end to
end.
• Work alongside the COO when we are evaluating new commercial contracts running the financial impact
assessment and making sure the pricing structure actually makes sense over the contract life.
